The good first - nice enough food, bistro staff v helpful. warm pool although v overcrowded, Good spread at breakfast. The bad - No aircon. Boiling hot room. Asked to move room after check in as it was like a sauna when we opened the door but just provided with a fan which provided little relief. 4 of us in a tiny ‘family’ room, felt like Greece. Couldn’t sleep with heat so the room wasn’t fit for purpose. Also v dated room, felt more like 3 star. Long queues for check in. Overall, poor enough. Won’t be booking again.

Stayed for a weekend, first weekend away in a year and have to stay the service of all the staff was amazing, absolutely lovely and so attentive, our first night in the Croft bar the staff could not of done anything more for everyone! Very fast service and great craic off all the staff really makes the difference when staying in a hotel plus the food and cocktails were gorgeous which is always a bonus. Lovely relaxed weekend. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Only tip is to make sure to book the pool and spa in advance as would of loved to have a spa treatment but no fault of the staffs with covid restrictions. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a nice weekend or night away. Many thanks

I went to the Bonnington hotel with a pigs back voucher. To be honest I never heard of the Bonnington hotel until I saw the deal on pigsback website. On arrival we were welcomed by a friendly receptionist, while waiting for our room we ate in the bar and it was lovely. The Goats cheese salad was so tasty, my daughter had the home made chicken Kiev which was Huge!. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was a little too warm on the first night(hottest day off the year). I asked if we could be moved the next morning and the receptionist was so helpful. We had dinner both nights in the bar the staff there were very friendly and knew exactly what each dish tasted like. We were impressed enough to have lunch & dinner there 2 days in a row. The hotel pool was large and during this covid time we felt totally safe. All and all I would definitely recommend the Bonnington hotel, the food, the staff and the location make this an ideal base in Dublin

Not a family hotel, food was not good and way under staffed, we had booked dinner with family that were also staying in hotel my kids did not want chips or nuggets or burgers that was on kids menu so I asked for a main meal for them this was ok but they would not serve my kids at the same time as there cousins that were sitting with us because they didn’t order kids menu they had to wait until our mains came out a 5yr old that is hungry doesn’t understand having to wait that long, kids menu needed improvement not all kids like chips and burgers or nuggets there should be half portion of the mains for kids, one of the waitresses dropped a tray of glasses beside myself and my daughter the glasses smashed and hit my daughters leg it was an accident and I understand stand that, the girl didn’t even say sorry or ask was my daughter ok there was a waiter that just kept saying it was an accident it was a accident it’s fine obviously it was an accident and the girl didn’t mean it but not one of them said are you ok or sorry about that, needless to say I wouldn’t ever be going back or recommend
