Our room was fine, although small. Our general impression was that the hotel - and it is that, not a bed and breakfast - is a bit worn, not bad, but worn. If one had a car, the location might have been a plus. We chose not to drive in the city, hence the free parking was irrelevant and the... More

We only stayed one night at Waterloo House before heading out to other parts of Ireland, but we received a warm welcome. We were even offered tea in the living room when our friends stopped by unexpectedly! Breakfast in the solarium was excellent! Our comfortable room faced the back garden area in this residential area of Dublin. A Starbucks was... More

We couldn't have been happier with the accommodations at Waterloo House. Our room (31) was a bit small but we appreciated the drawer and closet space, and access to the comfortable lounge on the ground floor. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are outstanding and generous, offered in a bright room overlooking the gardens. Our visit coincided with... More

Dublin was our last stop on our big Ireland & UK trip and the Waterloo made it even sweeter. The Waterloo is so sweet, lovely through-out, and very professional. The breakfast was in their sunroom area, which was so serene and delicious! Wonderful spread! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location was nice and a bit away from... More

The receptionist is a lovely lass, friendly and efficient. Our room was big, with a big bed, tv, tea/coffee making facility, clean, and with a fireplace which I'm sure on a cold night would be fabulous. Bathroom small but clean, everything in order. I had thought that being right in Dublin the traffic noise would be an issue when going... More

We stayed at Waterloo House three nights...our first nights in Ireland! Waterloo House is centrally located and the staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming. The rooms are lovely and the entire hotel is well maintained while staying a little "old world". We arrived early and they were gracious enough to allow us to grab breakfast before we headed out for... More

Your best bet in Dublin. Just off the bustle, but a short bus ride away (bus stop right in front). Stately without being smug. Elegant, comfortable, and the best service. You won't be disappointed. Nice neighborhood too. I really recommend eating at The Farm around the corner.

My stay was 4 nights. I felt welcome and very comfortable. The service was very pleasant, breakfast was exceptional. Waterloo House is just steps off Baggot street which has many services and a couple of very nice restaurants. Easy access to buses and cabs too. A very enjoyable stay.

We got Waterloo House recommended by an Irish colleague. Since we were going for a conference, we also sent the link to this hotel to other colleagues. Altogether, 10 colleagues ended up staying at Waterloo House for four nights (they have 19 rooms altogether). We really loved it!! The atmosphere is very personal - for instance instead of entering a... More
