We'd never been to Dublin before so we wanted a place that was safe and central. Trinity Lodge fit the bill. The reception staff were always very helpful and we did have to call on them several times. To get to our room, we had a key to unlock a door, use our keyfob to open a second door, and... More

Very comfortable, we had a room across the street from registration, it was on the 3rd floor, a bit of a climb, but the staff were kind enough to bring our luggage up there. room was small but very cute and clean. Perfect location, close to everything important, but also very quiet. Best place in town!

The hotel staff was great. We had to get two rooms to accommodate our large family and they did so wonderfully. The reception desk is across the street from the actual rooms which was a little odd at first, but the rooms themselves are quaint and clean. The service staff did a wonderful job cleaning every day, and the restaurant... More

We stayed here on a recent trip to Dublin. We chose this hotel based on reviews and we were not disappointed. We travelled along the Irish countryside for 10 days and this was one of the best places we stayed! Comfortable beds and large rooms! Breakfast is delicious!! Also in a prime location!

Poor facilities-tired and dated spread over three different houses-nothing like photos on website-hotel has great potential but is in need of an upgrade and some more accurate photos-after staying in a beautiful Hitel hotel Wicklow this was such a let down.

I checked in after a long flight from the US. Staff was very friendly. Hotel not at all as it looks on website. Bed for a single is very lumpy. Only one bottom sheet. The coverlet has to be used as a topsheet. This means that every person who has slept in the bed has used the coverlet. Disgusting. The... More

We stayed here 3 nights in a family room with 2 queen beds. The room was spacious, quiet, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hotel is Georgian and is charmingly decorated in that style, not meant to look modern. Breakfast was nice and the location is wonderful. Easy walk to Trinity college, Saint Stevens Green, National Museum, Grafton Street, Temple Bar,... More

This is a budget hotel, and the rooms' decor reflects that. However, the rooms are large, the hotel is in a very convenient location, and the service from reception is superior. Stayed here as my usual hotel was full up. Tip: book early when there's major conferences, events, etc on in Dublin as the quality hotels go quickly and prices rocket! Buildings are scatterd across the road so don't expect to stay where you checked in. Although I gather there is a new wing which I have heard is modern, I... More

Dear guest, Thank you for your review. Based on your comments I could only say that you probably would prefer a purpose built hotel instead of a period building with character (in Ireland or abroad). Our room prices reflect the character of the building, the location, the service and quality of breakfast. We are not anywhere near a backpacker base.... More
