Well located on the north bank of the River Liffey, a short walk to much of Ireland's history. O'Connell St., the GPO, Parnell's monument and the new Spire. The Clifton offers good rooms, food and three music venues (one is an independent venture) which will appeal to every music taste. Very close to all transit services and a short walk... More

Positives: Excellent location for city center/temple, friendly staff and comfy beds. Negatives: Outdated, scruffy looking, not the cleanest hotel, smallest bathroom i've ever seen. If your visiting for a weekend with friends to drink/eat and sight see then i would defiantly recommend this hotel (you get what you pay for and the location makes up for it being scruffy)!!!!! If... The best feature in this hotel is its location, second is the price. There is nothing really missing (save airconditioning), but everything is more or less outdated. Hotel is suitable for a short stay with limited budget. Do not expect to sleep without any disturbances. This is in the center, remember. WiFi was free, but unreliable, especially in the inner... There was mixed reviews on trip advisor but to be honest nothing could prepare us for what was in store 🙈 when we walked into the room we where greeted by a double and a single bed. When I went to look at the bed I noticed holes in the duvet! The television was like something from the early days... More

I don't even know where to start it was that bad! There is no lift in the place so if your bringing multiple bags like we did you may hope your staying on the first floor. The room smelt really bad! The shower was broke, the bathroom was tiny. The fire alarm hadn't been tested from 2012 and fell of... More

Well positives to begin with. The hotel was very cheap and location was good. Room was 300 on the landing. The hotel has no lift and if you are on the top then there is loads of flights of stairs. The room was very basic and view was awful. We wouldn't stay here again. We wanted something cheap and good... More

it's an outdated hotel close to the shops and the centre of the town; feels like a labyrinth, small stairs. average staff, small room with a stuck window. bathroom is dirty and the shower needs repair. breakfast is very simple. staying one night for a few hours is okay but not for a longer period.

STAFF; if it were not for the staff in this place then i feel they would never make any money. the staff are amazing. very polite, always willing to help out, solution find and essentially make your stay as best as possible, this goes all the way from the receptionist, to the cleaners and chamber maids. ROOM; very small, feels... More

Super location, super staff, tidy hotel!! This hotel gets some really bad unfair reviews... Its a budget hotel, however for the price the two rooms i have stayed in have been super clean, great beds and brilliant views of the liffy!! Give it a go, if you want the Ritz... Book that!!
