The venue is amazing. We ate two excellent meals in the Knight's Bar, would recommend the crispy pork belly. The beds were extremely comfortable and the staff the most pleasant I have ever come across.

I saw women having high tea on Thursday and they were dressed casually in jeans and long sleeve t-shirts. I would say dark jeans and a nice shirt would be perfect for the setting. Enjoy :)

As Rob mentioned, the LEAP card is excellent for getting around town, or even catching the train out of town. What a relief in avoiding the hassle with exact change. The Dublin Bus offers an app for your cellphone so that you can see the realtime schedule of when the bus will arrive at your bus stop... it was great! My wife and I bought the 72hr pass. The only time we took a taxi was when we were getting out late from the River Dance show downtown. That cost us about 21 eur plus tip for the driver. You'll have a blast riding the bus anyway, seeing the locals and the local neighborhood. Eventually you will even recognize the Gaelic version of street names that are announced at each stop. Don't worry, they also announce it in English.
