Good location in Dublin. Close to shops and restaurants. Close to airport shuttles. Not a very quiet location though. Quaint hotel. Clean. Comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was ok. Breakfast buffet was edible but nothing to rave over. Coffee was mediocre - better to go out for a coffee. Shops are just down the street. I would stay here again but perhaps try to get a room away from the Main Street.

We stayed here our first two days upon arriving in Ireland. Hotel was very accommodating and front desk staff was friendly. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet was good as well. All in all, a good way to start our trip to the Emerald Isle.

I would rate this hotel as 4 star, everything was perfect, a great breakfast, polite and efficient personel. Even though some rooms were being renovated on the first floor the noise was at a very low level. The standard rooms could be bigger and one couple in our group complained that their room was not up to standard and was most probably one of the older rooms. I would stay there again.

We stayed 2 night here, great location, hop on hop off bus was only half a block away. There was a grocery store about 5mins away and lots of pubs and restaurants. Room was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. Unfortunately there was some construction happening while we were there and it went till about 7 o’clock at night. Staff were super friendly, very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was great, and the pub located in site serve good food.

We were part of a tour group and placed in this hotel on the last two days of the tour. Cassidy’s Hotel is a large hotel near center city opposite the famous Gate theatre on Upper O’Connell Street and close to everything a visitor could want. The shopping districts and museums are all within a short stroll of the hotel. But this, by far, was not our favorite of the three hotels we stayed in during our tour. It has a very confusing layout. To get to our room, we went down a long hall to the back of the hotel where we took an elevator down one floor. When we got off the elevator, we went down another hall then to another elevator to go up two floors then left to a small dead in passageway then right at the end and our room. We needed a map! The room was large enough and had air conditioning but no refrigerator which is a problem for diabetics, no bottles of water, no single bars of soaps or shampoo but they did have these huge squeeze bottles mounted on the wall with body wash. There was mold or dirt in the corner of the bath tub and it looked pretty rough. Need some bleach cleaner. But the view….a really nice view of the alley with some really cool graffiti. LOL. Luckily we were not in the room much at all. The restaurant, Six, was really good and the staff did help me out with cooling my diabetic supplies since they did not have a fridge. So overall it was okay. The sleep came fast that evening after long days. Tip – When you check in at Cassiday’s let the people at the front desk know if you have an early departure for a tour. They will notify the restaurant and have breakfast ready for you before you leave.
