Stayed here for a few days. This was our second visit to this hotel - last time was 13 years ago and it is still just as good. After reading some of the recent reviews - especially about security - I was a bit worried, but it is fine! We were on the second floor in a lovely room. All... More

Nestled around an Historic Fire hall, this modern hotel has a mix of modern and quaint historic rooms, all with modern ammenities. Trinity City is within walking distance of Historic Trinity College, historic McConnell Street, shopping, lively pubs and public transport. Not all rooms have air conditioning, which is not uncommon for most of Dublin. You can request the modern... More

The hotel overall was very nice, although the rooms are a bit small, even for European standards. I liked the décor and the room was clean. The staff to be helpful. However, on check in the receptionist did not speak English and I found this unacceptable in an English speaking country. I did not have breakfast at the hotel, so... More

I do not like to sound negative but this hotel is not worth the stay. Old - remindes me of the non refurbished hotels for ibvious lack of investments or tourists. Standard rooms are expensive and are not equipped with AC and they are located towards the Fire Brigade department parking and backyard within hotel vicinity!!!! whatever happens there refflects... They put me in the tower above the check in desk - DO NOT STAY THERE. It's old and much like a college dormroom. After a struggle, they finally agreed to change rooms to the Courtyard Tower - where my colleague was. They wanted to charge me an extra $15 per day. Very disappointing. Overall staff was friendly. Concierge was... More

First, Check-in was frustrating. We arrived at Trinity City Hotel at 8 a.m., and gave our information to the desk clerk, we knew it was too early for check-in, so stored our bags, did a little sight-seeing and returned at 2:45 to check in to the 3 rooms we had reserved. 3 rooms near each other were not ready at... Just had three unforgettable nights at this hotel. After some research this looked a promising hotel. What I failed to realise that this hotel had is 1 No air conditioning unless specifically stated, they suggest you open a window which overlooks the fire station. So you get either a very hot room or a very warm noisy room. We were... More

Never ever again will I stay here. *No Aircon, a real problem in summer. *Uncaring counter staff *Could not sleep for the 4 days I was there, day or night. The hotel shares space with the Fire Brigade. Constant noise from testing equipment, testing sirens, jack hammering and chainsawing day and night. I left my stay at the hotel extremely... More

This is the first time Trip Advisor has let me down. I had somehow managed to miss any mention regarding details of the hotel's location. The building shares the space of the local emergency services station. This means noise - and lots of it. There are alarms, sirens and engines running constantly. If you can't get a room at the... I was looking for a nice restaurant to go with my partner when we spent a weekend in Dublin. The Trinity City Hotel offer a nice early bird menu for 2 or 3 courses.
