Great first impressions, stunning reception rooms and friendly staff , bedroom pretty good but shower stuck on cold and needs some re-decoration . BE WARNED The view from most of the bedrooms is a massive building site , huge pile driving cranes work from 7am all day , this is clearly a long project so not being warned about the disturbance on booking is very cynical...

We had a very nice stay at the Trinity City Hotel... The hotel is nicely finished with very clean rooms and the staff was exceptionally helpful... The only reason, I can't give a 5 is that we were woken up at 8 a.m. on Thursday morning with the construction outside our window (on the building next door) and at 7:45 on Friday morning with the same construction and then hammering in the room above us starting around 8:15... If you stay here, make sure to request a room away from the construction noise and I think you will have a lovely time...

We reserved 2 rooms for one night and three for the next. The double room was fine - very clean, nicely furnished... The triple room was bizarre - it felt like it was a in a vey old part of the hotel, the hallway jogged and the decor changed from light and clean to what felt like a 1970s Steak and Ale... The furniture was chipped and mismatched and the curtains were caked with cobwebs, as was a ventilation fan and mildew in the shower... Unfortunately they were full so we had to keep the room for one night but the 2nd night they gave us very upgraded single rooms... I'd stay there again, but would make sure that our rooms were in an updated section of the hotel...

...We had reserved five rooms and most of them were ready for early check in. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to keep our rooms close to one another... Lots of places to sit, hang out and meet with others... They came to clean the room and supply new towels every day unless otherwise requested... He helped us several times with reservations and recommendations... The only thing I could say is that some of the rooms were very old and outdated... The hallway to the king size rooms was very dark and old which is a little nerve wracking when walking alone...

...Upon arrival our room wasn't ready and wouldn't be until 3pm. One of the women at the checkin offered to show my daughter, 10 years old and I two options for rooms to choose instead... She walked us all around the hotel to make sure we were happy with the change in rooms... One was a beautiful Georgian style room, very large two rooms with a king and fireplace/tv in one room and a couch/pull out with tv and fireplace in the other... The second room was a beautiful upgraded corner room with exposed bricks a kind size bed and pull out bed and large 2 sink bathroom... They had turned over 200 rooms that day... We received chocolate treats and a birthday balloon in our room...

The hotel is very up-to-date, comfortable and modern. We booked connecting rooms, they said they'd hold our luggage until checkin and when we went they had one of the rooms available for early check in, so we placed our luggage there and went out to explore... Other items that made this a great stay; 24 hour room service, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds with nice linen and pillows, and nice amenities like espresso machine, carton water and chocolates in each room...

...We had booked an Executive Room, and got an upgrade to a huge attic suite (#360, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 4 beds)... Alas, the room was quite worn, windows could not be opened and were opaque, it was freezing, and the radiators we got did not help... The next morning we asked, whether we could get another room, and were even offered 2 rooms to pick one... We, thus, moved to an executive suite (room 165 on the first floor), which was lighter and much nicer...

...The duvet (the bed cover) was oversized and bulky and made it too hot to sleep... I tried (had to call front desk four different times within a six hour period) to get a lightweight cover of some sort and a flatter pillow, without any success... For such a nice hotel, you'd think they'd be able to accommodate people who don't want to roast in the duvet or sleep at a 45 degree angle with the fat pillows... I hope someone in the hotel management sees this and they buy some lightweight blankets and some normal sized pillows...

Thankfully the bedding wasn't sent out yet!... The man helping us out said that he didn't know how long it would take but he would make sure to look through every bin... The lovey was taken to dry cleaning and upon pickup the next morning, my daughter got a special chocolate treat as well...

The stand-out feature for us were the hotel staff. We have been travelling for four weeks in many high-end hotels but Trinity City Hotel is far superior because their Staff are professional, skilled at their particular job and discretely caring... We appreciated the natural warmth and welcome given to us at dinner by Batikan and at breakfast by Isaac... Ivan, the Manager of the dinner service, was gracious when we found him to pass on our praise of Batikan... People like Batikan and Isaac show their pleasure at what they do, everything is accomplished with ease and we felt privileged to be on the receiving end of their generosity of spirit...

I've stayed at Trinity City Hotel on three trips to Dublin (2015, 2017 and 2023) and while I have enjoyed my stay all three times, this most recent stay was the best... Trinity is in a great central location, easy walking distance to all of the sites... The valet parking on site is a bonus amenity, as parking in city center is challenging... All of the staff are lovely and very helpful, and the restaurant serves a delicious breakfast!...

Everything is within walking distance, they do offer parking, but we did not use... Other items that made this a great stay; 24 hour room service, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds with nice linen and pillows, and nice amenities like espresso machine, carton water and chocolates in each room... Staff super helpful, from early checkin, to booking a taxi for our larger party from the hotel back to the airport...

Our room was clean and modern with everything we could need, it had a lovely outside space with a great view of the city... The rooms were very comfortable, spacious and clean, lovely bathroom and beds comfortable... ...We checked in approx 4pm (checking was very slow, I understand it was busy but it should have been a simple enough check in.)... We went to advise this and was met with a very 'put out' member of staff who after rolling his eyes said there was little he could go apart from opent the door and then it could be fixed the next day... I rang the hotel and was told that they could find anything (this would have been early afternoon of the same day and given check in was not till 3pm no one else would be in the room) ... I was told someone would ring me back... I asked who was the cleaning staff that day, she couldn't tell me... I asked who she checked with, she advised the accommodation manager, I asked who this was... She said to send an email but couldn't give me an email address!!... I have stayed in many hotels in the city centre, this by far the worst experience...

Anton and Brendan looked after us and went above and beyond, their customer service was fantastic... ...At check out, we were compensated the parking fee back, 50 Euros. Staff tried to enter room after we had checked in, no knock... Asked front desk to call a cab for us... "Sure, will be here in 5 to 10 min" 15 Min later, go to front desk, "Well no one accepted the ride offer"... My wife got a created an uber account to use for Ireland, and got a ride within 10 minutes... At check out, provided valet stub to front desk (this was at 6 am) "Did you call last night and make the request to have your car brought up?"... When I asked the person who seated us, for two eggs, was suggested to me to keep waiting till they brought more eggs out... No thanks, for 20 euro, I don't think I should have to wait...

Trinity City was a nice reprieve after a day of sightseeing in the city. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city center but it's located just far enough away from the congested, noisy streets... The bar and restaurant provided excellent food and service with a great ambiance... The beds were super comfy and there was daily housekeeping, which seems to be dwindling these days... We found a room big enough for our 3 adult kids to share, so it was a perfect choice all-around... One of the best things is that it is a stone's throw from the Tara DART station which made it super easy to get around Dublin and beyond...

...Trinity City Hotel is excellently located in the heart of Dublin, so for that I give it 5 stars. It has a fancy, almost glitzy lobby, and the staff are nice...

Really beautiful hotel with kind and professional staff. The room was very clean and the breakfast was great although too expensive. The hotel is close to Dublin's main tourist attractions. We had a small problem in the assigned room but they solved it right away by giving us another one. If I return to Dublin I will choose this hotel. Thanks to all the staff.

Only shower on offer was a cold one , no hot water what so ever from any taps including basin. When I told reception on departure, he gave the impression he wasn't bothered! Left the place unwashed, skipped breakfast as I'd had enough, It was my first stay at this supposedly four star establishment - there are better hotels in Dublin for sure.

Me and my wife stayed here whilst on a weekend away in Dublin. First thing I’d say the location is amazing. We walked everywhere with no need for cabs and it’s also right by the train station and also bus stops opposite for the hop on hop off tour. Also close to bars and restaurants in temple bar. Hotel it’s self had and amazing lobby, bar and restaurant. Coming late November the Xmas decorations were up and done very classy. Rooms was good and no really complaint but the bathroom was in need of an upgrade. Didn’t really seem to fit either the rest of the hotel vibe. Would definitely stay again when I hopefully visit the city again soon.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very smart and comfortable, with helpful staff. Initially we were assigned to a very cold room where the heating refused to come on, but eventually we were moved to a warm and comfortable upgraded room in a different part of the building. The restaurant is OK, breakfasts are good, and the bar is a great place for a relaxing drink -- though we were a bit surprised when told it had run out of tonic water. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

A warm comfortable hotel that was welcoming. The room was a little dated but everything was in order. Breakfast was a bit overpriced but was generally good. Concierge service friendly and efficient. We would stay again .

Stayed with our small baby and the whole experience was very good. The lady at reception upgraded us to a bigger room when she realised we had the baby with us. The room was massive and there was plenty of room for him to play and for us to set up his travel cot. Hotel was quiet apart from the sirens on the street. The restaurant food is lovely. Breakfast was fine but I'm not sure it was worth the price. Overall would recommend the hotel

Met friends here last night for some festive drinks and it was superb. From the moment I phoned to reserve seats in the bar until the time we left everyone I encountered was friendly, professional and attentive. The hotel's Christmas decorations are tasteful and there is a lovely festive atmosphere. It's a mark of a good establishment in how the management treat those in our society who are experiencing hard times. I saw this for myself; two managers helped a homeless man who was very cold and not very well. They were discreet empathetic and sympathetic. If you're coming to Dublin, don't look any further for your hotel stay!

Two friends and I had a wonderful stay at the Trinity City Hotel. We were celebrating a friend who has had a very tough year health wise. The hotel left a lovely balloon and bottle of prosecco to help us celebrate. It was a really nice touch. Our room was fantastic and the service was too. We will be back!
