We checked in around 3.30pm on the afternoon of 13th October , and where advised we had a room in the Annex further up the road. Our room was bright and clean , however on the cold side. Later in the evening we still had no heating and as we were wanting to shower ect, I decided to go to... More

I stayed here for two night in November as I needed a base while I needed to be in Dublin. The location is great and very central. The rooms are basic but have everything you'd want. I found the staff very friendly and helpful, especially Morris who I met when he was night portering. I have no complained about the... More

The Charles Stewart is in a good location for central Dublin, walking distance to the main shopping street and attractions. Although our room was clean, it was very basic and ok for 'just sleeping there'. Breakfast was Ok - nothing special.

My family first stayed at this hotel more than 20 years ago. The interior has been revamped several times but the friendliness of staff has remained excellent and welcoming. Food quality is also very good. My last-minute booking meant that occupied a well-proportioned double room on the ground floor at the rear. Very clean and neat. Floor to ceiling double... More

I only wanted a cheap B&B in Dublin but the Charles Stewart is a lot more than that. The staff is incredibly friendly, the breakfast is good and the beds are comfortable enough. I traveled around Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales and stayed there twice on the same trip - right after my arrival in Dublin and on my way... More

Have stayed here on several occasions but booked a single room as this was weekend break with friends. Very disappointed as the room i was allocated had no window only a skylight ... no escape route should there be a fire and very claustrophobic. I turned straight round and went to reception and the young lady on reception Jessica was... More

The Charles Stewart is an older hotel, located just north of Dublin City Center. This location provides the traveler with easy access to city sights, as well as to public transportation including city buses, the Luas, and airport buses. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was made to feel welcome. The room was not yet ready [I was early] but... More

The hotel is in desperate need of some love and attention, but for the price you are paying to stay in the centre of Dublin, you can't really go wrong if all you are looking for is somewhere to sleep at night. The beds are comfortable, however the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired, the shower was tiny and... More

While I realise that accommodation is expensive in Dublin I was expecting a little more for the price. The room we were in was on the ground floor. Looking out over a car park. Furnishings were tired. The bathroom was basic. The mattress was lumpy and the entire bed creaked if you do much as tried to shift position. Breakfast... More

After previously staying at the Amberley Guest House in Dublin which was almost double the price for this stay I was not expecting anything fantastic. We had booked a twin room. Firstly location, Spot on! Just off O'Connell Street with easy access to all bus routes. Upon arrival there we were informed that the hotel was full and that we... More
