Being a U2 fan the Clarence was really the only place I wanted to stay. The welcome from the reception staff was excellent and they helped with directions for we wanted to visit. The decor and ambience of the hotel is really nice and I would have given it 5 stars but the bathroom was a little tired with cracked... More

This is not a lavish hotel. Don't expect rock n roll style. It's clean, central, comfortable, great food and a great location. Top tip- try the house cocktail of gin in a teapot. And. Bring bath salts for the lovely deep baths. The breakfast is worth any money with a great choice of local products.

Terribly dissapointing. Its not budget price but the accomodation is tired worn and shabby, nothing more than basic. The staff on reception were lovely cant fault them, however we decided we would pop into the bar for a cocktail before going out to dinner, on entering the bar .. which was empty no sign of life the bar man who... As a huge U2 fan, there really was only one hotel of choice for our trip to Dublin. My review however is not biased! However, most would agree that The Clarence is a lovely, clean, welcoming hotel. The check-in was smooth and welcoming. A massive bonus was an upgrade to the Superior River View room. WOW! Massive thank you to... More

Really enjoyed our stay at the Clarence. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions. The hotel itself is neat, clean and in a great location in Dublin. We enjoyed our breakfast and felt overall the hotel was well worth the price.

Location is great, 5 min from the jervis street Luas stop, on the edge of temple bar. Room was lovely, good size, lovely solid wood doors and furniture. Mini bar, kettle, Paul Costello toiletries, wi Fi. My room was near a boiler or something that makes that type of noise which was annoying but they did have ear plugs in... More

My husband and I stayed here last Saturday night. I booked a delux balcony room with breakfast for two through the hotel's own website before Christmas. When we arrived, we were given a room upgrade which was greatly appreciated. Our room was extremely comfortable. The air conditioner wasn't working but there was a heater in the room so the temperature... More

We stayed at the Clarence hotel for two nights. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. We had a nice, clean room with a large heavenly kingsize bed. We didn't hear any noise, like some people have. (We stayed in a riverview deluxe room) We really liked our stay at the Clarence. We also had supper in the Cleaver East,... More
