Travelers' Choice
Chic and understated with a music pedigree that runs deep, the gibson hotel Dublin is the ultimate urban retreat. Music lovers, art junkies, food fanatics - whatever your passion it's right on our doorstep. We do sleeping, meeting, dining, gigging, touring, wedding and relaxing really really well. We mix all these things with a fresh, energetic, slightly off centre approach and we know it works. Exhibitions, supporting local artists, urban weddings and the odd celebrity are elements of what makes us different to the normal Dublin Hotel. You will find our staff friendly, responsive and happy - there is a secret to this that we can't possibly share. The gibson hotel is the ideal location to explore the city and planning your stay is easy. The M1 and M50 are 8 minutes away via the Port Tunnel and we have ample covered parking for our guests. With the luas stop right outside our front door Connolly train station is only 8 minutes away and Heuston train station is a short 20 minutes from the hotel. The Luas will take you to the City centre in 10 minutes or if you prefer to take in the views of the River Liffey a brisk 15 minute walk along the quays will bring you to O'Connell street, the heart of Dublin city. Great beds, 100MB complimentary WiFi, a gym, relaxation area, restaurant, bar and meeting space are all part of the deal. The gibson hotel is modern yet comfortable, it's different and it's better, it's large, it's friendly and it's a building that is alive with great people from the moment you set foot until the moment you leave.

dont really know where to start cause it was so fabulous. Firstly. the cleanliness and covid protocol is fantastic. We felt safe at all times. I will start with check in. they were amazing. Bar staff and drinks and lunch. lady made me a mojito. nicest ive ever tasted. bar food was fab. rooms... exceptional . gorgeous. very plain but lovely. bed so comfortable. if i were to pick at something very small it would be the tv.. most channels dont work but thats ok cause some do work. 🙂. restaurant. all i can say is... we got served michelin star food. your chef is amazing. staff again in the restaurant were so professional. and big shout out to the new girl... we didnt catch her name but shes a true dublin girl and told us she only started last week. well shes fantastic and the gibson hotel are lucky to have her. breakfast... flavia... you're a fabulous person and you run that breakfast so so well. so professional and so so friendly. you made the experience even better. again the food was amazing. overall... the home of first dates.... you made mine and my partners time away feel like it was our first date. in the height of a really crappy few years ye made us almost forget what was going on in the world. thank you and i cannot wait to return. xxxx

Hotel reception staff terrible service had issues at check in, room not ready ,no apologies off reception no information on the facilities while we were waiting. When we got to the room the TV had no sound we rang down to reception but no one ever came to the room Then on leaving we had issues with car park ticket trying to over overcharging us and once again the same guy at reception was not helpful at all . So over all experience no good at all

Stayed as a family of 4 for 2 nights, the hotel is in a good location as getting into the centre is easy on the Luas. The room is a good size and the bathroom is fine but the carpet had stains and some areas not very clean. When checked in we noticed a wheel hanging off the coffee table and when we tried to move it the wheel fell off!!! We reported it to reception and were asked if it was annoying us!!! We also reported twice that the tv was not working properly, it was never fixed! On checkout I brought both these points to the attention of receptionist who apologised. Not sure if I would rush back to this hotel again. Definitely not what we thought we were getting.

We are still here but I felt I needed to post this review to stop anyone else wasting their money on these packages being advertised. It seems like a good deal but your better off putting it towards a better hotel with better staff. We arrived today 3pm as that's when checkin was. Car park door access wasn't working tried calling the buzzer like 20 times no answer got thru to main line sent someone down. I asked is the call button broken he just said no its not! No apology nothing. Got upto the reception desk which felt like a hotel vive not a hotel to be told our room wasn't ready? The terrace suite. I was like checkin is 3pm right? To which he replied yeah we are busy? Told to sit and wait.. no drinks offered I had to request late checkout for the inconvenience.. then after 40 mins we said we can't wait any longer and we would wait in the bar with all our bags... no offer to take them for us! Nothing no apology for the wait... male receptionist came over and had out name wrong for our booking but proceeded to tell us he got mixed up and the room was ready.. ordered drinks ourselves to the bar as nobody came over to us... staff all talking.. the only nice member we have come past has been Rory the bar man who Brought us our drinks! The staff really need a course in customer service and how to be friendly and apologise if things aren't in line with their standards. We are the type of people that never complain and I was left livid after everything today. Package was meant to include Relaxation Room access. We weren't even offered it..Tv sound wasn't working.. called at 5pm... now 7.15pm and no sign of anyone to fix it... we had to unplug all the cables ourselves to get it all working again! It's actually disgraceful! We are about to go for dinner now which I haven't been told where to go even and I'm dreading it! Even tho it's a special occasion and for the money we spent for 1 night! Only saving grace is room is nice... not amazing but lovely shower..coffee machine.. clean spacious room and nice little terrace area. Management need to open their eyes and address these issues otherwise they will have no customers as I will tell all my friends not to book here and steer a million miles away! I hope other couples don't make the same mistake as what we did!

Wonderful staff, great location. Hotel is funky and modern, but still cozy and welcoming. Staff are attentive and friendly and the quality of food is excellent. Family room and bathroom very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Right on the Luas line for easy access to all amenities in the city centre.
