Love staying here - Maeve and Shay make it a home from home - they're always updating the rooms and facilities, beautiful town garden at the front. Its not a hotel with every room en-suite so get over that - ask for an en-suite before you go, its a B&B in a beautiful location with real genuine warm people hosting you for the night - welcome to Ireland as this is a real Irish home your staying in where a family has been rared in and flown the nest.
Nice room , very clean , very tasty breakfast , clean bathroom , hosts are very friendly and are like family. We really enjoyed the stay. The neighborhood is very beautiful , 100 meter walk to the Irish sea and you have very good restaurants nearby . In 100 meter walk you have a bus stop , where you will get bus every 10 minutes to main city. Main city is just 15 minutes on bus.
Absolutely shocked how the owners of this guesthouse treats people , knowing myself and family members are attenting a family funeral and had booked to stay yet don't take creditcard and to pay arrival but yet when we arrive don't answer door and shouts threw door to wait yet 20+ mins later still waiting and no answer so we had to make a last minute booking elsewhere.
Booked to stay in this place today as in Dublin for a family funeral, tryed pay with my credit card and waited for confirmation of my stay, I had to ring the guesthouse where I spoke to lady owner who seemed nice and she told me she wud cancel my card payment to come up and pay cash, arrived in Dublin called to guesthouse noone would answer door, tryed several times and was shouted threw door I'll be there in a few minutes, after waiting 20 mins still no answer, absolutely disgusting behaviour especially knowing myself and my family were staying for a family funeral. I most certainly would not recommend this place and I will be informing many others to avoid.we then had to find other accommodation in the area.
My friend and I found our hosts friendly and helpful, providing information and advice about transportation and sight-seeing. The neighborhood was a pretty suburban area. The house was attractive and clean and beds were comfortable. Our ensuite shower wasn't the strongest, but was adequate. The buses into Dublin were a short walk away and frequent.
