I had stayed at this small hotel a few years ago and really enjoyed it but didn't know if it would still have the same standards. I can state that the service and charm are still there. We had a lovely room overlooking St Stephen's Green: it was not divided into two beds as we had requested but housekeeping soon... More

Arrived without booking & were promptly seated, lovely silver service setting. Plenty to choose from on the menu. All 4 dinners enjoyed their meals. I did spy a seafood platter that was served high tea style but was advised that was a voucher special but could have the same meal. It tasted good but was a little difficult eating all... More

Booked this restaurant for my wife's birthday this week much to my regret. Having agreed the booking this joint waited until 10 minutes before we were due to arrive to telephone me and cancel the booking! I called in personally and asked that the manager call me the next day - I'm still waiting for the courtesy of a call.... More

Great location, 5 minutes walk to the heart of the action, overlooks ST Stephens Green, which is a busy location, lots going on outside. Back rooms are best, cheaper and quiet, easy to sleep, the front ones do have a great view but if you open windows it is loud, did hear a few people say this so beware if... More

Stayed at The Cliff Townhouse for 2 days in August while visiting Dublin with my wife. The location is ideal - it is great location to base yourself in Dublin for a long weekend as all the key sights are in walking distance. We really enjoyed our top floor room overlooking St Stephen's Green. The room itself was clean, cozy... More

We had a terrible experience at the Cliff restaurant. While the room is pretty, the lighting in the center part of the dining room is way too bright, the food only mediocre and the service nonexistent. To top it off, all patrons were seated shoulder to shoulder, while the other side of the room had only a two top. Our... More

If you want a nice dining experience in the heart of Dublin overlooking St. Stephen's Green, then this is definitely the place to go . . . With a menu of predominantly fish we opted to start with a dozen Harty's Oysters between the four of us as they had an excellent offer on for August of half price. Fat,... More

Earlier this week I stayed at the Cliff Townhouse overnight on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. We had a lovely time. The room was very comfortable and charming. Both dinner(see restaurant review) and breakfast were very good. We stayed on the highest floor and despite my very poor levels of fitness I found the stairs fine and can only wonder... More

Just a one-night escape with my wife. The room was nicely appointed, with our wine waiting for us as requested. But it was cold - really cold - in the room and it took a long time to warm up. The bathroom was small and poky. The bed was luxurious and really comfortable. The dinner and the breakfast the next... More
