I turned up pretty early on a Wednesday morning for my 1st sample of Dublin Guinness and was given the warmest Irish welcome by Declan the landlord of 29 years. Within a short time I had a pic of me behind his bar for the trip album! Chicken wings to die for, as was the Guinness beef casserole. Proper Irish... More

This place was made for tourists. We went in wanting nice live music. The bar by our hotel had a terrible singer playing every night so we picked the bar on the singer's voice. We ordered a couple of drinks that came promptly and food. The Caesar salad had WAY too much dressing on it and the cheese/meat plate was... More

Nice pub! We sat at the bar which was nice.. the guy at the bar was really nice and gave us some advice on where to eat that evening as we asked about a few places. Fiance had a Smithwicks and I had a cider. Clean pub & good live guitarist was on. Would visit again if we were in... More

Spent four night week of July 4th. Room was exceptionally clean and well appointed. Literally one minute to walk to the excellent pub down stairs with great food and wide selection of Beer and Whiskeys. I would recommend to all my family and friends.

This place is the epitome of what one might envision an Irish pub to be. Great food and drink and live music nightly. Usually an individual playing a guitar and singing but really very nice. We will definitely return!!

Busy and convenient location, close to lots of pubs and cute shop. The accommodations were definitely sufficient and quite nice, however the street/bar noise was so loud even ear plugs couldn't drown it out. The management and staff were quite friendly and very helpful as there has been a problem with our booking and we were given beers on the... More

Clean and pleasant but so hot and stuffy even when outside was cool. Windows dont stay open. Rooms were very small and bed was smaller than a double. Tv grainy picture, bathroom light doesnt work. Many other hotels in temple bar are much better than here. Biggest complaints are the room was so hot that we avoided it as much... More

Good Place for simple genuine food and good beer. Very good service and very good music downstairs. The athmosphere is less touristic which gives you the impression that it is truly Irish. Can recommend this if you don't want to eat Indian, Nepalese, Italian or English food.

We decided to call in here after the Stone Roses gig on Saturday 9/7/16 As most other pubs in the area were rammed we decided to head on up the street a bit and are we glad we did. There was a decent sized crowd in but not overcrowded like other pubs in the area, we got served very quickly... More

We just happened to stop into The Norseman after a long day visiting the Irish countryside. It was a perfect end to a beautiful day. We were a table of 10, and the service was excellent as was my dinner. I wish I had taken a picture of the pile of mussels I had. They were tender and in a... More
