The only negative I can think of is that we only stayed one night! Sian was the best host ever - she couldn’t do enough to help make our stay perfect. We had a small group as a pre wedding getaway and Sian organised a cooking class which was fantastic fun, then we had afternoon tea with all our produce. Sian and Michael arranged a taxi the short distance into town and were helpful in suggesting live music venues. The rooms were huge and very comfortable with everything we could want. Breakfast was fresh home cooking with great selection including home made breads, pastries etc. Really enjoyed our short stay and will definitely be back for longer next time.

Just returned from another fantastic weekend away in beautiful Donegal. The most magical part was the amazing stay we had in Donegal Manor. Without doubt having found this treasure 15 years ago I have never regretted a stay there. You totally feel like the lady and Lord of the manor from the moment you arrive. This guest house is without doubt a five star establishment. We stayed in the Lady Nuala room which had a super king size bed which was the essence of comfort. The room feels more like a suite...huge! Don't get me started on the breakfast....better than any hotel I have stayed in...extra touches like little boxes on hand to take away a few slices of banana bread or gingerbread (freshly made!) for a snack later. There are little touches like this throughout...thats hospitality! Just as we headed out on a day of exploring, I reckon this might have been arranged too by Sian and Michael, a beautiful rainbow appeared (see attached photo!)...they definitely have the magic touch. Do not miss an opportunity to stay here..or just make one! You can thank me later😊

We only stayed 1 night in Donegal on our trip up the Atlantic Coast but wished that we had stayed a bit longer. Donegal Manor is easy to find and just off the main road and is an easy 5 min drive into town. You could walk into town at a stretch however taxi’s seemed the better option if you did not want to drive. Our stay was very pleasant with friendly reception, spacious and clean room and a good breakfast. It is B&B style accommodation so don’t expect someone to be available at reception all of the time.

Situated 2 minutes drive out of Donegal Town on the road to Ballybofey is the Donegal Manor Guest House. Hosts Michael and Sian are extremely welcoming and friendly. Michael goes out of his way to suggest itineraries for your stay and will suggest excellent places to eat in the area. Sian is the chef, and provides a wonderful breakfast and delicious breads and cakes which you can take with you for a "midday treat". The room we had was spacious and comfortable and contained a large King size bed, comfy sofa and a fridge. Breakfast was delicious and consisted of home cooked hot food, pancakes, breads, cereals, fruit and cheese. Access to the owners is easy if there are any queries and they could not have been more attentive. With regards to location, this is an excellent base to explore Donegal and the North West of Ireland. Slieve League is less than an hour away and we got to the Giant's Causeway in around 2 hours along good roads. Michael says you can get to Belfast in around 2 1/2 hours! We flew in and out from Knock which is about 2 hours away but a lovely drive along the Wild Atlantic Way. A lovely location and very friendly family owners. We will certainly come back next time we venture to West Ireland.
