You won't get too many opportunities to ring church bells so a visit is worth it for that alone.. Lovely church and great views over Cork when you climb to the top. You have to climb through the bell chamber (with ear protection). Be warned that it's very tight.

Last Saturday August 27th, the Milford Historical Society Group visited Shandon Bells. We were welcomed by Marisa o'Mahoney who actually hails from Milford and Mary. Marisa did a superb job telling us all about the history before guiding us to the top of the building where the views of Cork City were spectacular. Of course everyone tried their hand at... More

Cork is a lovely city. What better way than to see it from up high. A stunning building to visit in its own right and exquisite views over a lovely city. Ear defenders are supplied to protect your hearing as you climb the bell tower. A fair price for a lovely experience. I would have taken out son (8) but... More

We were two couples, so we had two rooms here for two nights. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were nice and modern. The decor was really nice, sort of Victorian and pretty. Parking was a little tight but it was so nice to have free parking in the city. We didn't try breakfast here, so can't comment on... More

At St Anne's Church, you can pay just €5 to go up to the Bells and Tower. The church itself is free to enter, but to enter the tower, you have to pay. I think this is a bargain for the experience. This also includes free hire of ear defenders! The lady on the desk was very lovely and easy... More

The place was horrible, the beds were extremely uncomfortable you could feel the springs coming out, mirror was broken door handle barely holding up and bathroom ridiculously small, the room was facing a busy Street so extremely loud untill late and early in the morning. Parking was a nightmare as well. Bed and breakfast with no breakfast included ????? You... More

On the good side: free parking (though not many spaces) and about 15 minutes' walk from the city centre. Some pleasant bars and restaurants close by. The room was also a decent size. Unfortunately, there was considerably more to be disappointed with here. The room we were initially assigned on the ground floor looked good at first, but on closer... More

My wife and I stayed here on July 20th 2016. The room (no 11) had been recently refurbished so was clean and functional. The room is located in the roof space, so has steep inclining walls. This is normal, however such room spaces hold the heat in the summer periods (and cold in winters). Room 11 has one window, which... More

A good cooked breakfast and comfy well sized room. We unfortunately had the room by front door lots of movement at night and in morn. Twelve rooms and only 5 parking spaces not the best!!! Our room needs a repaint where moisture has got in and blown the wall. Would be nice to have more eco friendly towel service. Towels... More

Our room was one of those unfortunate ones where you can't get your suitcase around the door to close it, and only one side of the bed is accessible. The window latch was broken, glad it wasn't warm outside. The bathroom was attractive and spacious, but no real shower, just a narrow Irish bathtub and a hand spray. The breakfast... More
