I stayed here August 2016 with my sister. It is a nice B and B, if you get a good room. Not saying any are bad, but ours was on the top floor, 60 steps up! It was small and compact. The windows were 2 small skylights, so no view unless you stood on a bed. The ensuite was tiny.... More

Not impressed with the room, very drab and uninviting, this was compensated by the superb breakfast and friendly staff . located a little outside of town but near some good pubs and a superb restaurant called Isaacs this is a special treat for foodies

We stayed here as a pit stop on our way to West Cork for 3 nights with our family, a 7 year old, 6 year old and 17 month old! We wanted to go to Fota/Trabolgan and a few day trips with the kids. We arrived late in the evening, but were given such a very helpful and warm welcome... More

This is a big house set in significant grounds with a large car park to the front and a nice garden behind. The garden is home to ducks, chickens, songbirds and rabbits! And you get to eat the eggs in the morning! And there are nice views over Cork, too. But therein lies a problem and I think Gabriel House... More

The staff were very friendly. It was a very clean and fresh guesthouse, and the breakfast was good, but!! There was no lift so we wheeled our bags down the very steep carpark then carried them up 2 floors to the room. There was no hair dryer in the room. I imagine the staff could have found one for me,... More

Love this B&B. The staff are a joy and so helpful. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The house and rooms are spotless. House red and white available from front desk, at very reasonable rates, great bonus to sit and relax after day in the city.

We've had a lovely 3 night stay at Gabriel House in Cork! Upon our arrival and noticing we were in possession of WAY too much luggage, Valerie kindly adjusted our room to one on the ground floor to prevent the strain of lugging our suitcases upstairs. A very thoughtful act! Our room is very comfortable, the staff (Valerie, Kathleen and... More

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable. Many of the rooms have a nice view of the city. There is a lovely garden at the back of the house with hens, ducks and rabbits. The breakfast was great and there was lots to choose from. You can also bring your dog.

No correlation between the reviews, rates and quality. Thredbare place with lousy service. Way more expensive than far superior B&B's all over Ireland. Service extremely unwelcoming. Better look elsewhere in area.
