I stayed here with a friend on Friday night and had quite an unpleasant experience. The room itself was tiny, there wasn't place to swing a cat. I'm glad we had decided to leave our bags in the car and only bring the essentials with us, as we would have had no place to put our bags!! As well as... More

The place looks a little tired but it is in a good location for the city centre, bus station and a short walk from the train station. It has a good size kitchen to cook your meals, overall a safe place to stay for budget travellers.

I do not recommend this place for couples, even though the staff is very friendly and the location is quite good. Rooms are more cupboards than rooms, too small to put your luggage without having to move it around to open doors. Some rooms also don't have much light such as ours and the whole hotel looks really old and... More

I stayed here for 4 nights and was impressed! The staff are so friendly and I met some amazing people who I ended up spending a few of my days with! Very relaxing place! Great spot to stay. They have a roof where you can take drinks which is nice on cool evenings! Just really couldnt be happier. I recommend... More

We loved our stay at Sheila's. It's a really welcoming hostel and a nice location not too far from the main bits of the city centre. The staff were super helpful, annotating maps for us and making great recommendations for where to visit on a Tuesday night! Also very patient when we got back slightly worse for wear and locked... The Stay Cork Apartments are not part of the Hostel but sit at the end of the same building. They are clean and spacious with really good living and kitchen space. the apartments are a stones throw from McCurtain street with a short walk that takes you right into the centre of CRK. Despite being so close to the centre... More

I'll let others speak to the quality or lack of it at this hostel. But I just wanted to warn anyone that has trouble with hills and stairs that this is NOT the property for you. There is a 100 meter hill with about a 40% incline grade that you have to climb if you are on foot from either... More

We spent a night here in June when we went to see the Coronas at the Marquee. We booked a private room for the 2 of us and it was perfectly adequate. We had our own en-suite bathroom (tiny but manageable) and bunk beds. The downside to the room was that there was one double bunk bed and one single;... More

Stayed for one night in a double room with ensuite as it was cheap compared to hotels in the centre on a Friday night. I would have given an average rating except that the double bed was so soft it was like a hammock with us rolling into the middle. This led to a poor night sleep and at the... More

Stopped for just the one night in June, and to be frank one night was enough! Central location in Cork, albeit at the top of a short steep hill, which gives decent views from your room over the city. Reception was friendly and there were lockers available while we went to explore the city before checking in, but when we... More
