Just looking at reviews on this guesthouse which unfortunately I had to stay there last year.one thing I'm amazed by is that this place is still operating as a guesthouse. The house next door is boarded up just like this place should be. How it is not shut down is worrying. The Irish should have a TV program called guesthouse,s... More

Stayed here for one night on our way from Dublin to Killarney. Was perfect for a short stay and reasonably priced. If you're looking for 5 stars and luxury, perhaps keep looking. But if you're doing this on a budget and intend to be out and about enjoying the surrounds, as we were, this will be right for you.

Just returned from a long weekend staying at the Redclyffe. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast was tasty. The rooms probably could do with some modernisation, however they were clean and comfortable, so the dated decor did not affect us at all. The rooms were cleaned and fresh towels provided daily. The property is in a... More

set in an easy to find and convenient location in cork city this establishment is probably 2/3 star standard. very clean but needs a bit of freshening up- unfortunately the property next door is abandoned and run down and this does reflect on the property. however the rate and service is good all rooms are en suite and perfectly acceptable.

I stayed here for one night whilst attending UCC. I was on my own so not as bothered as I would be if I was with my partner. Friendly people but I remember Onslow (Keeping up appearances) greeting me. I remember seeing his belly button. Right. OK. There was a really strong smell of cooking that seemed to be permanent... Cheap but certainly not cheerful. I only stayed here beacuse it was booked for me to attenend a preistly ordination. I have to say it is one of the worst places i have ever stayed. I had a room on the top floor. It was cramped and i could not stand up in the bathroom ( i am 5'6). It... More

Absolutely terrible experience from the get go. Long wait for the door to be opened and when it was it was another person staying there. Staff member to busy having a drink in the kitchen. 2 of us in a double room with basin towels only no shower towels. Shower edges covered in mould. Room so basic. Torn curtains and... More

Booked 4 employees to stay here for a night. Without going into too much detail, the rooms were unclean, some doors in hallway falling off hinges and left standing beside walls . They refused to eat breakfast there the next morning because the dining area was also dirty and they witnessed their server using his bare hand to wipe down... More

Do not listen to the bad reviews, when I arrived at 8pm my room was on the 3 floor, having travelled from Scotland , the very kind and friendly host decided the 3 floor single room was to much of a climb, so put me into a 1st floor double room which was large and very comfy e.g. the bed,... More
