Kinlay Hostel is a very decent place to spend the night. I was able to rent a single room and was very satisfied with my stay there. I even snagged my own bathroom so I was very happy with just about everything. The room was huge for one person although most of the space was taken up by my bed...

Loved this place, very central with great pubs and museums about. It is also only 10 minutes walk to the bus station..a big plus..:). You can book lots of tours but we took the hopper bus which allowed us to see all of Cork and its highlights for €20. Think it was a real favourite place.

If you want a cheap stay this is an ok place to stay , i just couldn't get over the staff , they were so unhelpful. one girl in particular on reception with glasses was very rude and couldn't care less about the guests didn't give us any information. I went down the next morning for a tea bag and...

I stayed in a lot of hostels but this one was definitely a little better than the rest. It didn't have a lot of frills or a lot of cool things but it was very cheap and very clean. The location was pretty cool with a lot of great things to do in the area. I'll definitely think about staying...

I've never stayed in a hostel before but thought my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) would give it a try. A friend made us last minute reservations. We struggled to find the place, checked in for €18 each a night, and received a family room, ensuite, with 4 beds. The beds and pillows were ok, the shower and...

I have traveled around Ireland several times and when I am in Cork, I always stay at Kinlay House. It is only a 5 minute walk to the center of town and the best market (an English Market) in Ireland. I treat myself to good cheese, fruits, vegetables and fish and then take my groceries to Kinlay House where the...

Pros: Cheap A 15 minute walk from the train station or 10 from the bus terminal Contrary to other reviews our room (302) was clean, albeit a little basic Cons: No bowls and insufficient cutlery and crockery. How a hostel manages to have no bowls at all is a mystery, and the lack of plates, knives and forks mean that...

Where do I start... Unfriendly and unhelpful staff, dodgy wifi, dirty room, flat pillows, no hot water after 10pm. It was so unpleasant we decided to leave a night early and asked for a refund. Staff member didn't even apologise for our awful stay. In general they really didn't give a crap, and it was quite clear that no one...

I booked a Singel room. There was a bunk bed with a simple matress, a sink, a wardrobe without doors, a desk and a stool. It seems all clean. The shower and the toilet were on the other side of the corridor. Sometimes the shower was very, very hot and other times it was cold. The breakfast with toast, butter,...

The worst hostel I've ever stayed at. When we arrived the staff member at the counter couldn't care less. No help at all. When we asked for a map or what to do around town he handed us the brochures and said "this is what there is to do". The rest of the staff are terrible too. Not friendly at...
