Stayed for one night. The staff were friendly and quite helpful. The room was EXTREMELY dirty, the walls felt damp, there was hair on the sheets and pillowcases, there were also flies in the room. All of the locks in the toilets were broken. However it was only a five minute walk from the city centre.

This hostel is in the city center but you still can find a place to park just in front of the place. It is a budget hostel, so don't spect too much, the building is old and the rooms need a lot of maintenance. They have a kitchen for guests Staff are nice and breakfast is included

We stayed here two times during our tour fpthrough Ireland. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. There is a spluggage storage service and free wifi. We stayed in the dorm room and we were happy to have a relaxing sleep and a almost-hot shower in the morning. We enjoyed the public kitchen and free breakfast in the am.

Stayed here awhile ago with a friend. Room wasn't that clean and had a feeling of damp. Location was good but not in a great area. I definitely wouldn't recommend, better hotels around the city that are only marginally more expensive.

If you choose to stay in the 16-bed dorm, you may often be woken up or frightened by the door that slams deafeningly loud closed if you don't slowly close it. There are also no lockers in the room. The wifi doesn't work very well here, especially during peak times (like night time when everyone is using it) and on... More

My husband and I loved our private room at the Kinlay House Hostel. I would suggest everyone traveling through Cork stay here. The front desk staff was very helpful in offering suggestions of what to do while in Cork. They offered a light breakfast and everything was clean and well maintained. If we had any issues or concerns they were... More

Okay, so this place was below the kind of standard you might like for a hostel, but for myself and my friends it was fine as we were just staying for one night and didn't spend much time in the hostel. The staff at the desk who greeted us when we arrived were quite nice and approachable. They had no... More

Hostel is located close to the city centre, but you have to walk up the hill a bit to get there. Staff at the reception is kind and willing to help. We got a private room for 4 people and it was amazing value for money. Felt almost like a hotel rooms, with towels included, but at hostel price. Recommended.

Kinlay house was old and in need of an up date. The halls were like a maze. The bathrooms were limited and dirty, with to many people using the same facilities. The bathrooms and showers were also mixed. Bed sheets where stained and needed up dated. However good location, close to city centre and if you do stay make sure... More
