The garden in front of the B+B is incredibly lovely - full of colour and tumbling flowers. The owner's daughter welcomed us with tea and cake and looked after us so well, recommending walks and places to eat. The island is stunning - amazing views in all directions and there is such a sense of peace and calm. Definitely somewhere...

A charming place and warm, friendly hosts (Eileen and her daughter). The rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable with lovely views. There is a welcoming and cosy sitting room for guests to use and the breakfasts were just fabulous. A great island to visit and a fantastic B&B. You'll probably want to get Mary's island taxi service from the...

I spent three fantastic days on Cape Clear island 12 kilometres off Baltimore, Co Cork, Ireland's and stayed in the most wonderful Bed & Breakfast, Árd na Goaithe, which means 'high wind'. Having arrived on Wednesday afternoon last week, I was welcomed by Eileen Leonard, the proprietor and treated with tea and scones. My room was very comfortable and quiet,...

We booked a twin and a single room for 3 of us. The twin room had a double and a single bed and was still quite spacious. The beds were incredibly comfy. The bathroom was clean and modern. We were given a huge amount of towels. On arrival we were given tea, coffee and fresh buns. The sitting room was...

From the moment of our arrival we were made to feel comfortable. When settling into our room we looked outside and saw flowers, green hillsides and the cows grazing nearby - what a peaceful setting! The room was comfortable with an on suite. On arrival Eileen had tea and bread waiting for us and after we settled into our rooms,...

We stayed here recently and the family that run the B&B were very nice to deal with. We were greeted by tea and some of the finest homemade cakes I've had. It was a great touch to the start of our enjoyable stay on the island.

We recently spent a couple of days on Cape Clear. When we arrived at Ard na Gaoithe, we were met at the door by Triona, who greeted us warmly and kindly offered us tea to refresh us after our journey from the mainland. The visit was a lovely experience and we would have no hesitation in recommending Ard na Gaoithe....

Arrived early afternoon where I was greeted warmly by my lovely host who provided me with coffee and homemade scones. Eileen provided me with plenty of information about what to do, where to eat and where to go on the Island. The B&B itself was really comfortable with a separate living room with a tv, books and magazines. Breakfast was...
