Room was surprisingly very big but cosy becuse of the traditional Scottish decor, deep greens and tartan and the lighting. Big king size bed which was very comfortable. Large bathroom with bath and separate shower and large sink ideal for shaving and makeup. Iron and ironing board in the wardrobe and there was also a trouser press. Complimentary tea and... More

Comfortable rooms with garden views, friendly & efficient staff, old world style to the rooms but very likeable , easy drive to or from Edinburgh airport, great restaurant on site, only downside was the Wifi, very slow.

We were at this restaurant celebrating a family event. The experience was unbelievable. The service was outstanding the ambiance was peaceful and sedate but we were still attended to as and when we were ready to enjoy our next course. There was no pressure to rush our courses. We felt like we were the most important people to the staff... More

Just one night here, but two would have been nice. Our room overlooking the garden was spacious and comfortable. Wifi was hit and miss. Toiletries (lavender shampoo, ginger soap...) are very nice. Tub and separate shower in the bathroom. Had terrific fish and chips in the Chop & Ale House. The breakfast room is so pretty, main courses made to... More

Room was clean and tidy. It has a 'french-style' feel to the room; but with Scottish decor. Room was large and had lots storage space for clothes. (No room safe through) The large en-suite Bathroom had shower, with ample hot water; bath and toilet with bidet in alcove. Complimentary spirits in the room.

I stayed here with my wife over a Sat evening. We arrived around mid afternoon and were very pleased with our room and the amenities. It's a lovely place and the staff are very attentive! Luckily the weather was exceptional so we sat out in the lovely back garden. The restaurant was fantastic and the food was lovely. Would definitely... More

Overnight in Linlithgow doesn't have 'chain hotels', so selected Champany Inn as a local, good priced and fair reviews. Hotel cleanliness was excellent, bed was comfy and breakfast was great. Negative was Internet not working and 3G is a bit flaky, however only one night, so meant a break from work! Had a burger in the Chop and Ale house,... More

We stayed for two nights at the hotel, and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff, and the levels of service were excellent, and it was much more personal than staying at a large hotel. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the showers were great. No shortage of water in Scotland! The decor was traditional, in keeping... More

The Champany Inn is a wonderful alternative to staying in Edinburgh and is the same distance from the EDI airport as downtown Edinburgh. The Champany Inn is an old house that has been expanded over the years and includes the main lodging, a breakfast kitchen, a formal dinning area, a more informal public restaurant (Chop House) and a wonderful Wine... My fiance booked Champany Inn for my 50th Birthday. Unfortunately when the day arrived I was unwell and had to cancel at short notice. This was no problem at all and I asked if I could rebook this was done immediately - had to wait three weeks to be accommodated but that was no problem at all. Checked in on... More
