My partner and I booked this B&B last-minute, as we couldn't face another night of wild camping in the rain and wind! This place was wonderful - the B&B is separate to the host's house and we had the whole place to ourselves. Big bedroom, comfortable and modern living area, private bathroom, beautiful views across the nearby lochan. We loved...

Taigh Chailean was the perfect place for our two night stay on Harris and Lewis. Situated about half way between Stornaway and Tarbert it was easy to access key sights on the islands. We arrived by ferry from Ullapool and drove up to the Butt of Lewis and down to the Callanish stones on the first day before heading to...

Marion had thought of everthing. The house was lovely, warm, comfortable, beautifully furnished. Only two bedrooms and the house to yourself as Marion lived up the road. Her breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit and my favourite black pudding on the menu. I would definately return if back on Lewis and would highly recommend this house.

Thankyou Marion for a wonderful 2 nights in your beautiful accommodation. We were so very comfortable & made to feel so welcome. The house is beautifully appointed, the furnishings are designer standard, the bedroom large & spotlessly clean with a fabulous wet room en suite. 3 of us stayed here for the Laxay Show which we were taking part in. I cant express enough how much we throughly enjoyed our visit to the friendly local community. The house was perfect for our trip and we were made to feel at ease and welcome. Breakfast (although not expected) was fantastic and serves with a smile. The...

We spent 4 nights at Taigh Cailean, Marion was a lovely, helpful host, the room was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and spacious with a very comfortable bed. It was lovely to sit outside on the terrace before breakfast each morning as we were so lucky with the weather which was warm and sunny. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious -...

What a beautiful B&B Marion runs. Lovely hostess and the rooms are perfectly furnished and everything of the highest quality, spotlessly clean and you are made to feel perfectly at home. The weather was mixed, but we were prepared for this and we were the only guests staying so we had the run of the house to ourselves so were...

This B&B was the best on our Scotland trip, we enjoyed a very tidy room, a wonderful view across the hills, and a very nice and caring host. It was lovely to watch the sheep just in front of the window.
