Only had 2 nights to stay on Iona and Argyle was wonderfully accommodating. Breakfast was one of the freshest tasting meals I've ever had! Very friendly staff. My room was typically small but very adequate. A very fine place to stay - I'm anticipating staying again on my next visit. When I inquired about returning, they noted they do fill...

Stayed again at the Argyll hotel on Iona in sea view room. Beds very comfortable and a very relaxing room. Views amazing. Breakfast and evening meals superb - my favourite breakfast of the trip! The owner was friendly and helpful and we loved sitting in the lounge with our cocktails before dinner. Perfect in every way and will be back...

Iona was the final destination on a little adventure with my 8 yr old daughter this Summer. The Argyll is so warm and welcoming, as are the lovely Wendy and Rob. After spending the morning beach combing, we nipped back for cake (delicious and home made), then after an afternoon of exploring and highland cow spotting it's the perfect place...

We stayed on Iona to celebrate a 70th birthday and it couldn't have been a happier experience. The proprietors, Wendy and Rob, make great efforts to welcome guests and look after them. The food is quite superb and beautifully presented. They employ friendly, competent staff and enough of them to not keep you waiting for service. The beds are comfortable...

Warm welcome from staff after an interesting journey that included the last ferry of the day because of gales. Great meals, both dinners and breakfasts, were enjoyed using locally sourced supplies, caught or grown, when able; and such attention shows. Cosy very comfortable room. We did not mind one bit being marooned by the storm that just added to our...

Having stayed 3nights on Mull, we travelled to Iona and stayed at the Argyll hotel, this is just a short walk from the ferry, we had a gorgeous drive to fionphort watched otters playing and birds of prey, easy 10 minute crossing, and weather was on our side. The hotel was very welcoming, and the room was a sea view...

This place has character, and a delightful homey feeling. My wife and I only had lunch there, but it was a most enjoyable experience. After getting off the ferry we left the crowd who were following the road to the Abbey and took the first street to the right. In less than a minute we arrived at the Argyll Hotel....

The hospitality referenced in the title of this review began long before my visit during my initial inquiries. They were very prompt and responsive to my emails. I especially appreciated this, as I live on the west coast of the US and, with time differences, communication is sometimes a bit "clunky" with delay. Their promptness in responding was very helpful....

I popped into the Argyll Hotel with my dog for coffee and was made very welcome in one of the comfortable lounges. Coffee was served promptly and delicious, shame wifi was only available upstairs for customers with dogs.

The manager and staff at this hotel are so helpful and friendl. My girlfriend felt ill whilst on Iona so we stopped at the hotel for a while - they let her rest and take a nap in one of the cosy little rooms downstairs by the restaurant. We later had lunch there which was extremely nice too.
