My husband and I passed here after being up at the trossachs. We stopped for lunch. I had a bowl of homemade soup and a roll. The soup was tasty. My husband had macaroni and garlic bread it was nice as well. Place was quite busy inside. There were a few people outside as well. Staff were friendly as well.... More

Had a couple of beers here on Friday evening, and then came back for lunch on Saturday. The pub is quite friendly, with staff that are quick to serve you and open to a bit of conversation. The selection of beers is nice, all the hand pulled beers are scottish which is an interesting touch. They've some regular (boring) beers... More

Great review thank you. Nice to see you picked on the Scottish beer thing we have going on. It gave us a USP at one point along with the 1/3rd pint glasses as the 1st pub in Scotland to do both!. As to your question, I don't know why!, what I do know is that if I try to remember... More

The food was Delicious. We had dinner&breakfast and it was beautifully presented and so full of flavor. The inn is close to a riverside trail and it is easy to walk around and explore. The pub was cozy with guests and locals alike which is a sign of an excellent place. If I lived in Scotland, I would be a... More

Historic 6 room inn with good pub downstairs in tiny village in a corner of Trossacks national park not far from Stirling & Doune castle. Lovely large updated rooms upstairs, ours with King bed. WiFi temperamental. Good parking. Friendly staff. Large " Baronial" dining room reserved for weddings, etc. Pub & breakfast room also have plenty of vintage character.

6 cold and wet motor bikers arrived at the hotel at about 7.45 to a warm friendly welcome in a place with so much character you could not help but feel better. We were shown to our rooms which were well equipped and very comfortable. We went down for food 10 minutes before food stopped and were joined by 2... More

What can I say that hasn't been said before? If I could give them ten stars I would have. A special thank you to all staff but especially Lee and Mike. Lee for helping all he could to make my very elderly relative feel special and Mike for going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I... More

We stayed for 3 nights. The food was good and the service excellent. The staff are so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I gave it a 4 star rating because the room we stayed in was 'tired' Part of the carpet was worn and the ensuite bath had the enamel coming off. The location, Aberfolye, is good and... More

Having just stayed here with my son while on a fishing trip to Lake of Menteith, I have to say that this wee hotel is excellent. For me it has it all. Nice room, friendly staff, great food & beer and we even got an early breakfast to get us on the Lake which is only 5mins away. They could... More
