Fantastic. Really. The Hubs and I are staying at a campsite nearby and didnt feel like cookimg this morning. Came in just after 10am for some breakfast to hold us over as we go sight seeing in Stirling. We both had a full Scottish breakfast and coffee. 3 slices of toast each, a fried egg, haggis, 2 rashers of bacon,... More

Popped into the pub for lunch. They have a small beer garden and the weather was warm enough to sit outside. I had the haggis burger which was one of the best I have tasted. It was a combination of beef and haggis not a layer of haggis spread over the top of an ordinary beefburger which is what you... More

Came here for dinner after conquering Ben Lomond, so we were all famished and in need of a big feed and this was definitely the right place. Lovely friendly staff, great ales, and really good food to boot. Shame we didn't get a chance to go back, but will do if we are in the area again.

My husband and I ate here on 3 evenings during a recent stay in nearby Kinlochard. The food is clearly homemade and very tasty. There is plenty of choice on the menu and specials on offer too. The food is reasonably priced, especially considering the quality of the ingredients and the food produced. I would highly recommend this pub for... More

The food and drink at the pub is really nice, a little overpriced, but it is good. The service was always good. Prices to stay were fair we thought. Especially for the family room. However the rooms could do with a little update. I appreciate the building is extremely old but there was a musky smell in our room which... More

Great stay at the Forth Inn-- wonderfully friendly staff, got us into our room early, provided a wonderful breakfast and some lovely meals (and beer) in the pub. For some reason, didn't clean our room between the two nites we stayed, but not a big deal. Would highly recommend the Inn. And if people are bikers, a ride around Loch... More

We were made very welcome at a very busy Forth Inn and had a most comfortable room and enjoyable dinner. They very kindly put breakfast on at 830 instead of 9am - but I would have thought that for many, especially travellers and walkers, 9am breakfast is too late. I'd want to be on the hills by then. That said... More

we stayed 2 nights - our room was very small but we were made aware of this when booking and we did book only the day before. The shower cubicle was very small considering the size of the bathroom (we stayed in room 1) and there is no shelf in the bathroom. However, the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.... More

My husband and I passed here after being up at the trossachs. We stopped for lunch. I had a bowl of homemade soup and a roll. The soup was tasty. My husband had macaroni and garlic bread it was nice as well. Place was quite busy inside. There were a few people outside as well. Staff were friendly as well.... More

Had a couple of beers here on Friday evening, and then came back for lunch on Saturday. The pub is quite friendly, with staff that are quick to serve you and open to a bit of conversation. The selection of beers is nice, all the hand pulled beers are scottish which is an interesting touch. They've some regular (boring) beers... More

Great review thank you. Nice to see you picked on the Scottish beer thing we have going on. It gave us a USP at one point along with the 1/3rd pint glasses as the 1st pub in Scotland to do both!. As to your question, I don't know why!, what I do know is that if I try to remember... More
