We spent a couple of nights in this traditional hotel in July 2016. Our room was spacious and comfortable and looked out on to the road (Room 3 - Kyle). Poor sleepers may prefer a room at the back. The breakfast was fine, although I did set the fire alarm off by burning my toast - a new toaster would... More

We all had good meals with good service,we went here because it is a nice place, that we've been to before and my sister-inlaw lives not very far away. We came down from Glasgow just to have lunch in a nice place.

This was a real gem in Aye, Very nice rooms . The staff was exceptional. I arrived feeling under the weather and they quickly got me into my room which was much appreciated. My husband had a very nice meal in the dining room. I had a lovely bowl of soup and tea in my room. (which they did not... More

Visited friends in Ayr for a week and stumbled across The Carrick Lodge one lunchtime and I am so glad we did. The menu is excellent - always great to be spoilt by many (equally-yummy) sounding options. There is something for everyone here. Within the week, we ate at The Carrick Lodge twice more - another lunch and dinner too.... More

We booked an evening meal on the recommendation of a previous guest recommendation. The service was very quick being attended to by polite and courteous helpful staff eager to please. My starter was scallops which were the size of medallions, followed by haddock which had a crispy coating and of generous portion. My partner had the steak which was just... More

A one night stay with our 4 year old grandson as a little last minute adventure for him. Such a genuine friendly welcome on arrival. Our room was bright, spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was the largest I have ever come across and looked really new. Super walk in shower and bath with ample toiletries and heated towel rail.... More

We (a German, an American, and a Dane) were traveling through the UK and Ireland on motorcycles in June/July 2016 and randomly ended up in front of the Carrick Lodge Hotel in Ayr. The place seemed slightly on the fancy side and we weren't sure how they'd react to three dirty, tired bikers. They didn't blink an eye at our... More

I was in Ayr for a conference and this was a wonderful place to land after a long trip from Australia and with work to do. The room was large and comfortable and very nice and homely. I liked the fact that the rooms had names rather than numbers. The restaurant was lovely both for breakfast and dinner, both in... More

We visited today for lunch and were blown away with how relaxing and atmospheric this restaurant is. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, nothing was a problem. The food was gorgeous. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back.
