We were given a very friendly welcome and directed to our room - were offered help with our luggage but were able to manage. And a huge room it was! Slightly old fashioned décor and rather tired and "well worn" furniture. The lighting could have been better. Two side lights by the bed and dimmer operated spotlights overhead. The bathroom...

We stayed just the one night, came down to see an art exhibition in Ayr. Our room was huge but right by the laundry store and cleaners room so the corridor outside was piled high with laundry bags and we were wakened by the staff talking loudly outside our door at 7.30a.m. However all in all it was a very...

Although I stayed here on a work trip, I'd like to return with my family. The Fairfield House Hotel is a lovely example of a quality, independent British hotel. The hospitality is superb. Rooms are well provisioned, with good decor and well cleaned. A beautiful location overlooking the sea. There is a small gym downstairs with a pool. Both of...

Have used this hotel on a number of occasions whilst working in Ayr. Book via a third party website as when I contacted the hotel direct, they would not negotiate a better price. Shame, as they now have to pay a fee to the website who we booked with. We did have 8 rooms booked for 2 nights. We were...

First visit to Fairfield House Hotel and certainly won't be the last. The staff were friendly and room was beautiful. The atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful. I unfortunately couldn't shower as was unable to get in the bath as I use a wheelchair even though I noted on booking I was a wheelchair user and required a ground floor (sure...

My wife and I stayed one night as part of an Itison deal. We used the leisure centre and had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. We were really impressed with the attitude of the staff. In most hotels you expect some people who really care, some who just do what's necessary and often some who don't. Some who are...

My stay at the well run Fairfield House Hotel was very pleasant. Nothing was too much bother for the friendly but professional staff. The room was a good size as was the en-suite and the dinner at night was delicious. Couldn't ask for better!

We booked the Carnegie suite for a short night away. Room was clean and had a nice feel about it, with the four poster being a substantial piece of furniture. The chairs and the sofa were also nice and useable. The bathroom was fantastic, double jacuzzi and separate shower with a tiled floor, all very clean and with the heated...
