Stayed as a group of lads golfing. Hotel is very basic and outdated. Room was clean but a touch too small for two lads sharing a room. Staff were very good and helpful. Access to hotel was good with a car park on site.

On arriving at car park you need to read parking notices clearly. If you are staying at the hotel it is £2 a day - you go to reception, type in your car reg and pay the money at reception. Easy when you know what to do. Receptionist was lovely. I had booked 2 rooms with itison voucher for dinner,...

Have just had a two night stay in hotel with no complaints. Having read other reviews was a bit dubious we had booked this, but I think people expect 5 star service on 3 star premises. .However had a special offer and cannot fault them. Asked for an extra duvet on arrival as I need a soft bed, it was...

Had a two night stay during Easter holidays which was great .Great to get away from the run of the mill daily routines .Have stayed at the hotel on a few occasions and you are always guaranteed a warm welcome ,staff do there utmost to help. Bar prices are ridiculous hence it was empty for the biggest part of the...

We have just returned from a two night stay in this Hotel. The staff are great and really go that extra mile to ensure you have a pleasant stay. We paid for a Superior room with a sea view. They are big, bright and spacious. Beds are comfortable, the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. The only downside was the...

The hotel is a large and imposing building in the centre of town, with a private car park at the back. Check in was pleasant and our room was a good size. It did reek of cigarettes however and we had to open the windows as soon as we got in the room. There were a decent amount of power...

We stayed for 2 nights at Mercure Ayr over the Eater weekend. First impressions were not good. The carpark was crammed full and cars were parked outside the bays making it difficult to manoeuvre around. There were 2 disabled bays near the hotel entrance which were occupied by a white Polo and a white Fiesta on Bank Holiday Monday. Neither...

Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback following your stay with us, I am delighted that you had an enjoyable time. I am very sorry that you found the car parking difficult over the Easter weekend. As you can imagine this is a very busy time for the hotel. This does not excuse the ignorance of other motorists unfortunately that...

Having seen the price of this hotel when not using a voucher, there is no way it is worth the full price. The rooms and the toilets to the restaurant are really outdated (esp the bathrooms in the rooms) and the pool area is from the 1960's. Even the corridors to the rooms are hilariously 70's with carpet on the...
