We Stayed the the room for 3. The moment we opened to door we all said "wow". Everything was large the room, beds, bathroom. Everything was to a 5 star the decor, mint on pillow, fridge in room. We were handed keys to come and go as we pleased. Which is when we discovered just how close to the amazing... More

Fabulous room, fabulous hosts, fabulous breakfast ! The extra mile is no problem here. When enquiring about a stay I asked where a nice place for an anniversary dinner might be and on our arrival found a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket and 2 glasses! and the dinner was none too shabby either ! Many thanks Julie and... More

Decided to book a room at ByTheSea for an overnight stay after receiving recommendations from friends & family over the years. Recommendations were not unfounded as the guesthouse is spotlessly clean & comfortable with a mini fridge & secure safe in the rooms which I thought was a nice touch. The en-suite was a decent size with a supply of... More

Had a lovely stay at Bythesea. Room was a triple although we'd booked a twin. Was big, clean, lovely fresh sheets and towels, good tea tray. Bathroom spacious with powerful shower and Arran Aromatic products. Hair dryer and straighteners provided. Good location for the beach and shops. Permit provided for on street parking. Would love to stay again

Turned up on a Friday to watch Rod Stewart in Kilmarnock and this was all we could find on the Internet and for our money I could not believe how good our room was. We were in room number 1 which had a sea glimpse over the roofs but the cleanliness and bed were outstanding. The usual tea not coffee... More

We booked out By The Sea for a wedding near Ayr, with over-flow staying at Craggallan. Excellent and friendly welcome, very accommodating of us. The lounge by the kitchen was a useful touch, with wine glasses & a chiller fridge. Wide range of options at breakfast, with free-range eggs, locally sourced produce and fresh strawberries and blueberries. Rooms all comfortable... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Bythesea positively. We pride ourselves in providing comfortable accommodation at a competitive price and enjoy having large groups stay so they can relax in the lounge together. It was lovely to meet all of your party and of course the bride and groom. Regards Julie More

Good B and B with nice spacious room and bathroom with good quality toiletries . Slight negative was that carpet needed a Hoover. I believe this was due to carpets being fitted in other rooms with furniture temporarily being stored in others. Anyway not a big problem and everywhere else was very clean. Re the title of the review...the guesthouse... More
