We have to wait over 40 minutes for our food, the restaurant was very quiet at this time. When the food arrived it was lukewarm and chucked was undercooked, stone cold and very rubbery. Very poor care for food safety.

We decided to get away with our dogs as it’s very rare for the two of us to get two days off together as we both work for the NHS. On arrival we were met by a lovely lady who sorted out our requirements right away (we had dogs with us) and showed us to our room (which was stunning and more than we could ever have asked for). We had dinner booked for 6pm so arrives in the bar early for a wee pre dinner drink, Jacob was fantastic behind the bar as was Chris. Both of them looked after us as if we were royalty. The evening meal was phenomenal, tasty, satisfying, filling, delicious (need I go on?) it was perfect! Breakfast was the exact same, perfect in every way! In fact if this place was like Mary Poppins “Practically perfect in every way” Thank you so much to the staff at the hotel/restaurant for making our little get away, just perfect.

So disappointed, when we arrived to the room there was many hand prints on the wall with a super bad smell, we went back to the front desk asking for a new room and they upgraded us but when we arrived to the new room there was lots of short hair in the bed also we found gloves that were left there for a previous guest that means they didn’t clean properly and they said they were partially closed for covid and that’s why they don’t have proper breakfast and dinner service (you can’t see that when you book and they are selling breakfast option with out notice about this) but that didn’t make sense since they don’t have proper cleaning… I hope they improve this for next time qnd take the time to advice the people that is arriving about the new rules in the property.

This was a wonderful place to catch up with good friends. The food was delicious, both at dinner and breafast. A lovely selection beautifully cooked. The staff went out of their way to accommodate all our needs. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, only 15 minutes from Perth.
