The staff was really nice and the breakfast is cheap (2 £) and good. The location is great, just 5 minutes from the station. On the downside there are no lockers in the rooms, even no shelfes, so you have to spread everthing on the floor. There are also no reading lights which is quite common in hostels.

When we just arrived the receptionist was really nice with us (thanks Toni) He made a tour for us with all kind of details. And we feel like at home. The hostel quite clean and cozy. Totally recommended.

Hello Bernie, thanks a lot for the tip but you might have the wrong place. We're not a scottish pub and don't serve alcohol here. We're a chilled out backpackers .....maybe you had too many whiskies by the stage of your pub crawl ;) Tell us where this pub is so we don't go!! Cheeers Toni and all the backpackers... More

We stayed one night in the hostel as part of a MacBackpackers Tour and the whole experience was the highlight of our stay in Scotland. The hostel is wonderfully located and is perfect for individual or group travellers. The staff are great and super helpful and eager to give advice. They come across as travellers themselves, which is important. The... More

The group I was in stopped by for one night only. The city of Pitlochry as a fantastic highland village and we had great fun there. Very authentic atmosphere and experience - and Backpackers is located in the middle of it all.

I liked the hostel from the moment I arrived. It felt like a traditional, authentic hostel where travellers come together from around the world and actually talk to each other and hang out. On top of that there is a very comfortable common area and the staff were very friendly and helpful, who go the extra mile and even offered... More

The hostel is very easy to access, nice staff is working at the reception and the rooms are clean and tidy. Bathrooms need to be shared. The communal room invites to play some billiard or sing some songs with the house guitar and meet fellow travellers. All in all a nice and cosy hostel.

I really enjoyed my time at Pitlochry Backpackers Hotel. I was there for a team excursion with my colleagues. It's in the middle of a small village, very quiet, nice and friendly staff and atmosphere. I had a double twin with bathroom ensuite, the room was clean and tidy as well as very nicely decorated.
