The staff were absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to accommodate us when we stayed here. We have never felt more welcome and at home than we did here. The room was beautiful and cosy, and the bar downstairs had great food and reasonably priced drinks.

Stayed here for a night with my boyfriend. The lady at the hotel reception was extremely friendly, polite and helpful throughout our stay. She gave us tips on which walks to do around the area and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Our room was very nice, even the fact that the interior was slightly dated did not bother us...

We spent the Hogmanay weekend at McKays Hotel and had the best time ever. The room was lovely and cosy when we arrived and although the staff were so busy the whole time they always had a smile and willing to help. The food was delicious and the entertainment brilliant. We certainly will return next year. Thanks also to Andrew...

Staff certainly found a new friend in our dog who loved the attention she was receiving. Only downside was the heating system breaking down, but the staff kept us informed and went...

The family room is actually in the adjacent building to McKays across the road, but this...

Family room on top floor was small with sloping ceilings ! Steep narrow stairs! Micro bathroom. Dinner was good with excellent beer . Music very poor standard. Breakfast was cold on cold plate...

This was a short break before Christmas which was relax and enjoyable. The atmosphere in the hotel was fine but surprisingly not very busy. The pre-theatre meal was not excited. The Scottish folk music session after we came back from theatre was good. Lastly we like the style of the hotel but the bedroom is a bit too wee that...
