Stayed one night to go to Perth races, very nice welcome we arrived an hour before check in by train so asked if we could leave our case so we could go to the races, the receptionist checked if our room was ready and it was so she said we could check in and even apologised because there would be... Went with friends for afternoon tea (itison voucher) we have done many of these at different hotels and this one rates the poorest. The underlying smell of cooking oil hits you as soon as you enter and lingers. The afternoon tea came and everything was bite sized we had a pot of coffee between 3 when we asked for more... More

Be careful when you order room service as they charge extra for a tray charge???? We stayed on the ground floor and found it to be very very noisy..You could hear everything from the floor above, including shower, toilet etc. The superior room was large and well furnished, with good wifi and TV, but was over warm with no aircon.

We stayed for a night at Parklands as a Birthday treat for me. Yes, I am getting really old! First and foremost, the location is excellent, next to the South Inches and Station, and close to the City centre. The hotel itself looks splendid, on arrival; beautiful gardens and ample car parking. Our room ( we had booked the "Gourmet... More

Visited with three pals for lunch, sat outside on a lovely sunny day. Despite getting the impression they'd rather we hadn't bothered, we had to go inside to ask for menus etc, service was very good and the food excellent. Not the cheapest place, however the food was cooked to order and was very tasty. Will be back.

I love small hotels and the Parkland fills the bill. With 15 rooms it's really more of an Inn. Situated a short 5 minute walk from the train station (but you don't hear any trains) and a quick 10 minutes from the town center it's a great location if you a visiting on a short holiday like we were. There... More

Didn't spend much time at the hotel as we booked the room purely for sleeping & convenience. The room was a quad room, decent size for a family & it was modern & clean. Shower could do with upgrading. The breakfast was lovely & staff were nice. Location excellent for town centre & train/bus station & they have free parking!

I do have mobility problems and was surprised that there was no disabled parking, as far as I could see, within the steeply inclined car park. The hotel entrance is up four(4|) steps, no hand rail, a friend who is fully mobile admitted that he had difficulty during icy weather. Being an large house conversion there are no lifts but... Stayed at the Parklands for one night in March. Arrived late so can't comment about dinner. However the room was large, comfy and clean. Good sized bathroom. Excellent breakfast. The hotel overlooks the park - so an excellent outlook and ideal if you want a morning stroll.
