Stayed night on business. Staff very friendly and helpful on reception. My room was above average size and spotlessly clean. I chose to eat in the bar as it was quiet. the food was delicious. I chose salmon which had a really tasty sauce and was fairly light leaving room for the creme brulee with home made shortbread, melt in... More

Traditional family hotel which is a bit tired and could do with refurbishment. Rooms are fairly small but all in all it's quite comfortable with a nice small pool. Overall, it's not a bad hotel, just be prepared to walk into 1970.

I stay in a lot of hotels and this has to be second worst on my list the rooms are very outdated and myself and my family had to sit half naked because the room was so hot and uncomfortable when the temperature outside was cool I'm still trying to work that one out. Apart from that the staff was... More

We had a fantastic nights stay, enjoyed the swimming pool and Jacuzzi all afternoon prior to getting into our room, which was ready early for us, was clean and offered more than enough to expect or require in any hotel room. The staff were all fantastic, cleaners, bar, waiting and reception, all more than willing to offer assistance and a... More

The hotel is perfectly located, within walking distance of the town. The staff were exceptionally helpful andd pleasant. The hotel itself is old so expect creaking floors and doors. The room was well upgraded and pleasant. Although the bathroom had been upgraded there is still room for improvement, on a positive, lovely big soft towels.

Great location between bus and train station. Comfy room, staff were lovely. Nice touch having bin liners all ready for dirty wellies - obviously used to having T in the Parkers! Didn't manage breakfast so can't comment. Shower a bit dodgy going from really hot to really cold continuously. Other than that ideal for me

firstly brilliant location literally between the train station and bus station and a stones through from city centre. Downstairs neat with handy bar and decent dining area. Rooms classic BW incredibly noisy floors I guess due to the hotel age and generally quite a noisy hotel. Bad for me working nights! Spacious room with bath and good shower however baths... More

Hotel was clean but so dated and dreary, it looked as if nothing had been changed in thirty years. Room was uninviting with faded carpet, dark furniture and avocado bathroom suite. Even the hospitality tray with its too large plastic kettle and paper cover looked as though nobody cared. The breakfast room/restaurant was just as grim and the atmosphere was... More
