We arrived around 6pm after driving from Helensburgh in a warm car to find a shabby, freezing shack-type room which they couldn't heat. We were moved to a similar room, although the radiators did work in this one. However, no bedside lamps and only one bulb was working in the ceiling insert spotlights so you couldn't read. The wardrobe was...

I like the Mansefield Hotel. A two week stay a couple of years ago, and now a four night stay, both business. Why? The staff are welcoming and efficient. The rooms are clean, well appointed, spacious (at least the ones I have stayed in within the new wing) with modern furniture and a fair amount of storage space. They are...

Very odd and mixed experience. On arrival we were greeted by a young lady half way through eating her tea who was then replaced by someone wearing most of their tea on their shirt. Arrived at around 8 pm and was informed last orders at the restaurant were at 8.30. Expected to make choices about restaurant, which you have to...

Spend a week on business travel at the Mansefield. Very nice hotel with rooms in the main building, a new wing and efficiency apartments across the parking lot. I stayed in the apartments and it was a very nice room. It had a living area, small kitchen are with a microwave, refrigerator and water pot. the room was very clean...

Our annual golfing trip headed north to Elgin this year. The golf was played at a blustery but hugely enjoyable Hopeman. The ladies headed to johnstons of Elgin for a nice prosecco afternoon tea. We all met up back at the Mansefield for a beautiful meal in the stylish Bistro. Every couple in our party was impressed by the standard...

We've stayed here a few times before, but it had been years since our last visit to Elgin. It is still excellent and we highly recommend staying here. Lovely traditional room, super staff, and plenty of parking. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was immaculately clean, and we slept well. We particularly enjoyed the good selection of whisky in...

I am perplexed by this hotel. The layout is confusing from the poorly signposted reception area, to the rooms / elevators to the floors that make no sense. The rooms are OK, if you are in the older section of the hotel. The newer addition was up multiple flights of stairs, and many hallways, and then the room itself was...

Arrived at the hotel pretty late and was checked in swiftly. Nice clean and spacious rooms in a large modern hotel. The restaurant closed at 9pm so managed to get a meal in the attached restaurant which is part of the hotel?? Large and varied whisky's in the bar but limited draught beers.

We went for a romantic meal last Friday night. We arrived early but were seated straight away. I had the tempura prawns which were delicious, followed by the day's special chicken. We shared a cheese board for pudding. My partner had haggis bites followed by a massive steak. The staff were attentive, my only grumble would be once we finished...
