This is beautiful 17th century manner house has been fully updated, but not destroyed in the process. Our room was the Finley Suite about 30x15 feet with two desks, a double bed, fainting couch, comfy Queen Anne chairs all appear to be period furniture. Plenty of plug, beautiful marble bath with shower and tub, smaller flat screen TV. The bed... More

Extremely low energy waiters, who were nice enough but who were totally hopeless. How they ever get employed is beyond me. The scottish waiter with the tattoo on his neck was good and seemed to hold the whole restaraunt together. Strangly, I really liked the hotel, however the previous guest reviews are quite right about the state of the bedrooms... More

Visited here on tour of Scotland. Although part of the itinerary, I thought the hotel was exceptional. Nice room with plenty of space and very modern bath. Beautiful grounds in a quite retreat setting. Although only stayed one night, I really enjoyed being there.

We travelled 187 miles to this hotel for my husbands birthday August 18th 2016.I brought a virgin Experience. The package was good included Dinner and breakfast. The photos were great and the hotel looked like a country manor/castle. We arrived early afternoon and found the parking really good. Disabled area as well. We went through to reception the staff were... More

This is a gorgeous hotel. It's a very old building so it has so much history and charm. The rooms were spacious and modern but still traditional to the era of the building. The food here is literally to die for. Dinner was the best food I think I've ever eaten. The staff are also extremely friendly and polite. The... More

This hotel rolls out the red carpet for its guests . The manager greets you personally before entering the hotel. The house and farm dates back to 1760. Some notables a Charlie Chaplain, Harold MacMillan, Burt Lancaster had been guest at the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful, and the service and food outstanding. a must stop

We choose Newton because we wanted to stay in a special place near the Highlands. And I have to say that the location is perfect. Nairn is a quiet village, and a seashore incredible. Our room was one of the new (really different of the old ones) and it was big and with nice views. Breakfast is fantastic and staff... More

was very disappointed in the room my husband and i got, it was in the courtyard, it was meant to be an upgraded room, the noise of the fan next door kept me awake nearly all night, when i told the receptionist in the morning she wasn't really interested.

We had a very nice stay at this property. It's quite beautiful, and well-kept. We were in room 203 - it was a fascinating room. There was a bedroom and then a tiny spiral staircase up to a sitting room. Very charming! It's a lovely little walk to the beach as well. My only downsides were these: to get to... More
