As first impressions can sometime dictate , The exterior of this ramshackle building is less than impressive . However the room entering through a maze of corridors was clean and comfortable . The restaurant food is terrible and not cheap , In general the food is terrible we refused to eat breakfast there on our last day . The first...

Stayed here for three nights. Staff is very friendly and room was clean and comfortable, thought a bit dated. Walls are pretty thin and I could easily hear door being opened and shut during throughout the hallways. Wifi is only available in common/public areas like the bar or the event lounge/hall. The bar closes around 11pm. Even though wifi is...

Like everyone else here I only needed to search this hotel and see the sheer abundance of "terrible", "never again" and "avoid" titles and comments to be put off. Unluckily for me I was travelling through on business on a half term holiday weekend and so a room here was the only option I had. So off I went thinking...

The hotel is centrally situated in Kyle and within easy walking distance of most of the attractions although Kyle isn't too big anyways. Some of the decor could do with updating but it all seems clean enough. Wifi is only available in the bar and lounge areas so no browsing in bed. Room tip, if it's windy don't accept room...

Room and shower room were clean although cramped and bed was very uncomfortable. There was a function which commandeered the lounge which was the only access to the dining room. Breakfast was average with little continental selection. Staff were sparse but helpful. Parking at rear was ample with direct access to hotel. After seeing menu chose not to dine in...

This hotel restaurant is not A la carte as advertised. Also Chef could not cook a steak, rib eye served grey , looked like it had been poached. Rare was requested. Cranachan looked like thin custard with dash of raspberry sauce and maybe 4 flakes of untoasted oatmeal. This sent back to kitchen. If I and not my husband had...

Stayed here on business and was underwhelmed. The hotel is dated and run down, the staff being the only saving grace. Restaurant is also dated and menu limited. Food is inconsistent with my steak being tasty first night then like dragon hide the next. Chips perfect first night and like soggy tofu the next - Jekyll and Hyde chef? Complained,...

Bearing in mine this was a short stay..we couldn't wait to escape! Quiet relaxing weekend away turned into no sleep and an evening of listening to screaming, shouting, swearing and what could only be described as noise that you would expect to hear leaving a large city pub on a Saturday night.rude staff.rooms need updating.certainly won't be returning here and am very...

When we eventually arrived at this hotel, it looked so shabby and run down that I was reluctant to go in. However, with trepidation , we did. Surprisingly, our room was better than expected, clean and comfortable. Travelling in March, we found a lot of places closed, for example the Seafood Restaurant. Luckily, the Co-op and the chippy were open.

Very tired looking and not that great. Dinner first night was eatable but the second was over-cooked and inedible. The waiter got our order wrong which seeing there was a limited choice was strange. Unfortunately at this time of year, there is little choice in the place.
