Came up on the (English) bank holiday weekend this summer to climb the Ben with a couple of friends. The Geordie guy behind the bar/reception was super friendly and helpful and the rooms were a nice change from a youth hostel! Great location right in the centre of Fort William and nice communal space to come back to to chill... More

well lets just say this hotel is beyond recovery it is showing every possible sign of decline and the view from the back entrance on the building is particularly poor and shows lack of re-investment and care although it could be turned around it would most likely never happen a horrible smell greets you and every aspect of this hotel... This is a great option in a perfect location, right on the High Street in Fort William, a ten minute walk from the train and bus stations. Rooms are spare and small, linens are not luxurious, but there is a really nice lounge with couches and tv (we watched Olympics there), and the staff is exceptionally helpful. Whenever we needed... Pros: - Very nice and helpful staff, they were very helpful when we had to change our stay, due to being stuck in the airport. - Great location right on the Main Street, 5 minutes from the bus- and train station. And right next to shops. Despite the central location, there wasn't much noise in the evenings. - Nice and... More

This was my fifth stay at Ossians and i have enjoyed them all. Central location with easy access to many Munros in the area. You get fresh towels everyday, good staff service and i even had a large bath for a good end of day soak. Lounge area is quiet and comfortable for relaxation and you are spoilt for places... More

The hotel is very basic and the rooms are not big enough to move around in. There was no hot water for a shower. No cooked breakfast. Too many fire doors. Not very welcoming. Quite pricey for what was on offer It would benefit from a makeover and a visit from the Scottish tourist board. The location is excellent. Even... More

Four of us stayed two nights, the main reason being to use as a base for our first, successful, climb of Ben Nevis. As expected, an old hotel offering basic facilities. All was clean. Janice and her husband are friendly and very helpful. Janice even telephoned us to make sure that we had returned safely from our climb.

An old building, a bit run down but very affordable for a one night stay. Our room was small but had everything we needed, including free wi-fi. Bed wasn't that comfy, but adequate. Overall it served our needs. I was pleased with the breakfast cereal that was offered along with the hot beverages.

The floors were so dirty, and we were afraid to sleep in the beds because the sheets were visible dirty as well. The bathroom was just horrible and dank. If you have literally any other option, choose that!!!
