In August you need to book, because this place is GOOD. We chose Venison and Paris Brest and were delighted at the quality and sophistication. Situated across the road from the water, in a guesthouse this small restaurant has a modern interior, quiet lighting but not enough to alienate people with children. After sunset others sat outside to smoke and... More

Had a most comfortable night, then a delayed departure owing to a puncture. Delightful hotel with every comfort offered. Excellent for lovers of walking and climbing with expert advice. Meals are outstanding, real Laird's porridge inthe morning the best in years and I have porridge everyday. Hope to return again and have found a favourite bedroom, if i live long... More

On our way to Fort William, we ran into some inclement weather and had a flat tire and arrived at The Lime Tree at around 8:30 p.m. We checked in with little fuss, but was disappointed to find out that we could not order room service or eat in the restaurant. We instead went to High Street and ate at... More

This is a very clean bed and breakfast with nice rooms and great location near town. The restaurant is hard to get a reservation in, even if you stay there, but the breakfast is good. There is nothing fancy about the BB but then again we used it to sleep on our journey and did not spend much time there.... More

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. Beautiful room - we stayed in room 4 which had a great view of the loch with a window seat. The whole hotel is decorated in rich bold colours with artistic flair. Plenty of great artwork to look at and an amazing map room to sit and ponder or plan the next adventure.... More

We have eaten here 10 time over the last 5 years and as they food has always been good we returned again this year - twice! The welcome was warm and fulsome, and the waiting staff were attentive and very happy. We noted the prices have increased and the portions reduced! Hey-ho, sign of the times. The Amuse bouche was... Visited together with my partner's parents (before going on the Jacobite train) and we all raved about how much we enjoyed the food and loved the charm & comfort of the hotel. V comfortable beds, fantastic showers, good quality furnishings, cosy lounge area and super artwork all over the place! I LOVED the fabulous stained glass! It's a beautifully and... More

We had an amazing meal last night at the Lime Tree. Food was all excellent but especially the duck and pork dishes-the balance of flavours and attention to detail in each dish was perfect. We were £107 for 2 cocktails, a bottle of wine, 2 x amuse bouche, 2 x 3 course meals, 1 whisky and 2 coffees (came with... More

We were greeted very warmly and the waitress was enthused by the occasion of my wife's 40th and beamed as she showed us to our table where our pre ordered champagne awaited us. The food was excellent, and very good value and we would recommend without hesitation!
