I had just finished the West Highland Way and honestly didn't know what to expect. The reception was closed when I arrived, but there were many friendly and humorous posters dotted around to welcome guests. The lounge is well furnished, allowing guests to easily socialize. There are six beds (three bunks) per room, comfortable and come with clean, appropriate linen.... More

Parking was a tad tricky - Breakfast was cereal and toast and fruit. Nothing hot - and the coffee was value. Rooms were Ok and shower facilities fine. Nothing to complain about but nothing stood out either.

If you travel as a couple you will probably get separated rooms because there is a room only for ladies. Generally the rooms are small but it's okay for eight persons. The reception isn't open all the time but the staff is friendly and they probably offer to make tea or coffee. Free Wifi is available in the lounge. Furthermore... More

The hostel is situated on a hill. From the cosy room with open fire you have a nice view of a part of the city and mountains. Hostel provides breakfast for a small fee and citycentre and supermarket are downhill, a 10 minutes walk away. The hostelstaff, but also the atmosphere of the hostel are very welcoming and made me... Something very likeable about this hostel it had a lovely feel about it. 10 minute walk from city centre and up a bit of a hill but this gives you a great view from the lounge. The dorm I stayed in was clean and the receptionist was very friendly. The place is a bit dated but full of character. It... More

This is very central to Fort William and in a very pretty location near some small hiking/walking trails. There is a breakfast you can pay for and the wifi is good. The place feels very safe, though there were no lockers in the rooms. Good sleep and bed for the cost. Very friendly staff and good kitchen. The lounge has... More

We spent 3 nights here whilst climbing Ben Nevis and the surrounding Munros. This would have to be the coziest hostel i think i have ever stayed in, feels like you are hanging out in your own lounge room, sitting by the fire resting your legs from the days treks. It has a large dining area and a well equipped... More

I have to say this hostel has an awesome view of the loch on a clear day (rear occurrence in Scotland). I stayed here in late march and I was up here to climb Ben Nevis. the staff are very friendly and helpful, with good advice on everything in the area. Whether that's on how to climb Nevis, what things... More
