From greeting us outside when we arrived, to our final farewell after our three night stay, the Manager, Gabriel, was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Indeed, the service from all the staff was excellent. We ate in the restaurant each night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was very comfortable and we had a hot tub on our balcony which we used every evening. The only negative for me was the bar area. I felt it was a bit cold and lacked atmosphere. Perhaps because I am not a huge Retro fan and tend to like "cosy". We wouldn't hesitate to return
The restaurant at Rocpool Reserve is definitely our favourite place to dine in Inverness for a delicious meal. The fantastic service from every single member of staff is really what makes it so special. We are looking forward to coming back already.
We ate in the restaurant and had a fantastic meal. The service and food were both the best we have experienced in Inverness. The waiting staff were very attentive, the food beautifully presented and most importantly, tasted great.
Great location, plenty of private parking, pleasantly welcomed as I entered the hotel by the general manager. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The room was first class, very comfortable and luxurious. Dinner was excellent, wonderfully presented and exceeded my expectations. After a lovely evening relaxing I had a wonderful breakfast, cooked to order. I’ll be back soon, highly recommended.
Stayed for one night and was met by a very nice gentleman who showed us to our room. Other staff members we met were also polite and helpful. My initial impression was that it was luxurious, with lots of nice touches. The bed was large and comfortable, there was a coffee machine, iron, bathrobes, nice toiletries etc. all that you would expect from a 5 star establishment. However, there were a number of points which were disappointing. The room had no view, the sealant around the shower screen and bath were in dire need of replacing and the tiles were grubby. One bath robe had a small red stain on it. The most bizarre aspect was the clear glass panels on the bathroom door, especially as it was directly opposite the bedroom door. If you happened to pop out, you could walk back into the room and get a full view of your partner on the toilet!!! Even going to get something from the wardrobe, is a no go area if someone is in the toilet. Whoever thought this was acceptable is beyond me. Didn't dine in the restaurant, but breakfast was ok. Overall, had a nice enough stay but there were certainly a number of issues which would, in my opinion, not warrant a 5 star for the room we stayed in.…
Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic - really fantastic! Our room was great, bed comfy and bathroom lovely - the shower was fab. A real treat.
The Rocpool is an exquisite hotel. We stayed here for a couple of nights in late December, and had a room with a hot tub on the terrace. This might not be for everyone, but lying in a hot tub, just watching the sky turn dark and thinking about nothing is a great re-set switch for the brain. All staff in the Rocpool are really attentive and professional, and nothing was too much trouble. They make you feel special and because it's so small, there's no atmosphere of being rushed. The place is scrupulously clean. Thank you Daniel, and I hope that you and all the team have a happy new year.
We stayed here as a family with our dog on our first visit to Inverness whilst our son was playing rugby. The hotel was smashing - the room were exceptionally clean, spacious with a lovely bathroom containing Elemis products. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The bar was lovely. My son enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice (we have since bought a juicer). The breakfast was exceptional. Thank you.
We've been for afternoon tea and it was really amazing. All the sandwiches were very tasty and the pastry were so nice. We had a really great moment and I really appreciate the effort to make the afternoon tea look special for the Christmas period. I really recommend for the price !
The team at Rocpool are the value. Whilst the hotel is lovely, the team are amazing. Led impeccably by Daniel, from the chiefs to the staff, the team couldn’t have made us more welcome. Special thanks to Gabriel.
