Hostel was nothing special, but was exactly what we were looking for. Great location, friendly staff, and cheap breakfast included. A little bit dated, and one morning one of the toilets on our floor was not working.

The hostel is very cozy and inviting looking and the staff all seemed very friendly and helpful. There is a laundry service which is great for longer term travellers such as ourselves. The location is great. It's walking distance to everything in town really and easy day driving/coach distance to Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Glen Affric, etc. The beds/pillows weren't...

Nice cozy lounge. Free parking space and proximity to city center are a big plus. They also arrange some backpacking trips in Highlands. The only problem is with the toilets. They are almost and always occupied.

Things didn't start well when water started dripping out of the light fittings at reception. Someone had flooded the shower upstairs and it was messing with the electrics as a result. A number of extension leads were set up, clearly keeping the power on while water was running from the ceiling was a good idea... A key deposit was required,...

We stayed for one night at the hostel. The beds were clean, the mattresses were literally a layer of foam. The showers are not very clean, you can see all the hair still. James the receptionist was very helpful, he told us where to go and what better to avoid. The service was good. The problem of a hostel is...

The hostel was ok, pretty standard really, nothing spectacular but nothing spectacularly bad either. Kitchen was small but had all the facilities you needed. Best thing was the free coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm and the beds were hard but duvet and sheets nice. Only 2 showers and 3 toilets (both mixed), cramped...

This hostel is a lot of fun. The decor, energy, and employees make it a welcoming and homey place to stay. Very cozy, and the wifi works well. The optional and inexpensive breakfast choices were not exactly gourmet but nice to have. I think it's worth booking here over other hostels in inverness even though it's a bit farther from...

Pros: cozy lounge area (posters, guitars, book swap, twinkle lights), great and friendly staff, two pillows on the bed, good location, bed was already made upon arrival Cons: bed linen needs updating, breakfast could be better (yogurt perhaps?), no lights or outlets at each bunk, no barrier on top bunks (I was afraid I might fall in the night), no...

The common living room was great, the atmposhere was lovely, the breakfast was good, the place was hygienic and the staff was very pleasant. Only (small) downsides were the beds, they were a little hard, and the absence of a shelf and night lamp next to every bed.

Hi Mark! I am glad you enjoyed staying with us! This is interesting that you bring up the bed light as we are planning to set all our beds with single socket and a light in the near future! I guess you'll have to come back when it'll be done ;) Thank you!

In past reviews I read that people had concerns about security, low water pressure, no places to put things in shower, etc. By the time I got there they must have fixed all that, water pressure was fine (just had to turn both on), they offered free storage for personal items (ie computer) behind desk while I was gone for...
