Averon house was a wonderful and comfortable place to spend 3 days at. My wife and I came up the day after our wedding in Edinburgh to base out of Inverness, and Sergio was beyond kind and giving. He offered snacks for our Skye trip, access to his whiskey, garden, and pretty much anything we needed. It's also extremely affordable,... More

Averon House is one of the warmest, most charming places I've ever been. The same can be said of its owner, Sergei, provider of hospitality, lively banter, delicious midnight snacks, and the occasional ride into town. The rooms are furnished in an eclectic blend of vintage furniture and quirky tchotchkes. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms top notch. Leftover... More

A short walk up the hill from the train/bus is this quant and quirky B&B. The bed was a bit noisy, but comfy, and the shower a hand held sprayer in a tub. The breakfast was varied with both continental as well as a hot Scottish breakfast prepared by Sergio. Sergio also made a point of offering that we help... More

I love places like this. I much prefer them to hotels or large "Bed and Breakfasts." SO much "character." I felt like I was really "home" as opposed to some generic hotel. As a result, I slept so well. About my room...very eclectic in decor but that is part of the charm. I loved it! It was clean, beautiful and... More

This was our first stop while doing the NC500. The house itself was very quirky with lots of ornaments and little moments. House has a lot of character. The room was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and Sergio even said to take some bread rolls, fruit etc for the road which was nice There was free... More

Sergio is lovely and he does everything to make you feel at home with very good results. The room was very nice, tidy and clean. I slept very well because is located in a quiet road. I had also a very nice breakfast.

This was only a one night stay. The room was cute, quirky, and quiet. Although the bed was too firm for my taste, the other amenities were very nice. Sergio served a wonderful breakfast and even had the makings for sandwiches for later. He was a Sweetie.
