We stayed at Culloden house for only one night on a quick sprint through Inverness. We arrived just in time to be greeted by the bag piper who I believe plays every afternoon. That was awesome. We were greeted by a very friendly staff and thankfully helped with our bags up the 4 flights of stairs!! Lol the rooms were... More

This place is fantastic. The staff was great and helpful. Well worth the price. The food was great and the choice of beer and whiskey good. Good location. Rooms were a good size and clean. Would stay here again.

For such a grand house, the environment was surprisingly unstuffy. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering up tea after we arrived and helping arrange plans for our stay. The food is superb, and it's well worth exploring the hotel (lots of places to curl up with a book) for interesting historical tidbits, and the walled garden is... More

Stayed on night while passing through, hotel was near the battlefield and downtown. Hotel was really neat walking through many hallways and up and down stairs. Room was a fair size, bathroom was dated but nice. Room had a sitting area and was neat. What really made the stay was the hotel staff, all were warm, personable, and professional.

Culloden House is like staying in Downton Abbey. We had a hard time finding available accommodation in this area, so I decided to splurge and am I glad I did. I needed room for my wife and I, and our adult son. The suite we had was excellent. Our bedroom was huge with a large attached bathroom and shower. The... More

The staff were exceptional! It was a pleasure to stay here. General Manager Stephen was so attentive to every need and Nigel was a great bartender, introducing us to some local whisky. We were assigned a superior room which was large and had two bathrooms. Perfect! Thoroughly enjoyed the nightly bagpiper at 7pm.

Met most of my expectations. Long on history. Elegant. Somewhat disappointed with food. Not attentive to special needs regarding food allergies Staff was attentive in other ways. Room was large and well appointed but have to keep context of it being a historical home needing a bit of polishing. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

I highly recommend Culloden House to anybody traveling to Inverness. The setting is beautiful, the staff was professional and helpful, and the room was comfortable. The manager called a taxi to take me to the city center for dinner. I felt like I was staying not so much at a hotel, but rather at somebody's home. The history of the... More

We enjoyed our 4 days at Culloden House. The staff is excellent. Nigel and Stephen were accessible, friendly, and helpful. Really enjoyed the walled garden. One evening with the window open, we could hear bagpipe music wafting in from somewhere on the grounds.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Culloden House for five nights whilst traveling around Scotland. We were graciously welcomed by Stephen and shown to our suite in the Garden Mansion.
