Just a 5 minute drive outside Inverness, this place is fantasticly located close to the sea in the middle of a park. Our room was in the tower, very romantic and particular in its shape. Dining (and breakfast) brought us another wonderful experience, top class service and food and such a cozy and warm atmosphere.

Well worth a visit, a very nice and comfortable hotel set in a wonderful location. The breakfast was very good but baked beans were missing i love beans. The staff were excellent, very friendly and efficient .

My wife and I stayed there for two nights while exploring the area around inverness. We stayed in a suite - was a nice large room with comfy bed, bath and a nice view outside. We dined one night at the restaurant - good food and great service. Throughout our stay the staff were always helpful and welcoming.

This was our second visit after a space of three years. Although still a beautiful building with friendly staff (shoutout to Scott for his attentive service at all times) the interior which was once cosy and atmospheric is now just a bit tired and in need of a facelift. We stayed in "Colmore" which is designated a Superior Room at... More

This was an unexpected late booking. We got a premium room at a good price but even at normal price would have been excellent. Beautiful four poster with foot stools to get into it so high! Well appointed room. Very clean. Amazing grounds and views. We ate in Resturant which had an interesting set menu. Good sized portions of exceptional... More

We stayed at the hotel for one night only. It was one night too long. The building is outwardly impressive, a mid 1700's Scottish Baronial pile. The inside rather less so. Our room was tired and smelt of damp. The bed was very uncomfortable, the bathroom dated ( the hotel opened in the 1970's and it had clearly not been... More

Evening meal really special and coffe and after in lounge. Nice garden and walk to beach , can see oystercatchers and Inverness bridge . Bedrooms comfy , tea coffe fresh milk , shortbread daily. No choice of lighter options in evening if eaten out that day , which was shame, would have liked to have cream tea but then couldn't... More

Had a reservation problem at a different hotel and booked this about two weeks before our trip. Overall the place is rundown, the service is good, the restaurant is surprisingly decent. The BIG problem with this hotel is it is LAUGHABLY over-priced for what it is. The hotel we were supposed to stay in Skye was relaix y chateau, had... More

We stayed one night on our way back to Edinburgh. From checking in, to dinner and breakfast we had a wonderful time. The setting is beautiful and the common rooms feel very traditional. Our room had a small refrigerator which is nice when you need one. We would stay again.
