We were in the hotel with a friend and a dog for one night break just day before christmas. The hotel was quiet, so we got sit and drink wine in one of the beautiful front rooms without anyone else around, even the dog was allowed in. The house is beautiful from inside and outside. Decor is amazing, just what... More

The hotel from the outside looked incredible, beautiful setting and very peaceful. Unfortunately the interior let the hotel down, It was tired and drab and did not have the wow factor for me. I feel this hotel needs a cash injection and some tlc and it could be fantastic, however there are so many beautiful hotels on offer I dont... More

Spent two nights at the Bunchrew last week. The public rooms were all very nice but when we were shown to our room I was very disappointed. I know the building is old but for the price we paid I was expecting something a lot better. It was extremely tired and needs updating.

After a long day of driving from St Andrews, searching for Nessie in Ft Augustus, and coping with narrow winding roads from the wrong side of the car, I needed to decompress. This was the quietest and most peaceful hotel I have ever experienced. The view of the water from our suite was serene. And, the chef accommodated my wife... More

A very warm welcome from Scott during which I spotted an elusive red squirrel running across the lawn - my only sighting! Lovely historical building with tastefully furnished and comfortable downstairs rooms. A tranquil and picturesque setting beside the Beauly Firth. We were shown to Beauly, a twin room on the first floor. This is dual aspect with a view... More

Oh what a place!! Do you ever get to stay in a castle. Well we did and were totally blown away by its location. It is situated in a very serene surroundings hugging a lake and lots of greenery on other sides. The rooms are huge and bathroom was elegant. For one night we were made to feel like king... More

This place is a delight...the location right on the Loch Ness, the 400 year old home, the service and the food were first class. We stayed here 3 days and enjoyed a great bar filled with a variety of Scotch, a lovely drawing room where we read and played games, and had tea and scones. The breakfast was extensive and... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Had a very nice room on the top floor facing the garden. No lifts so got fit using the stairs. Beautiful location on the water just outside of Inverness surrounded by gardens and trees. Very quiet. Ate dinner here both nights - different menu each night and the quality of the food and service was... More

We wanted a special dinner to celebrate our anniversary. That is exactly what we got, the service provided by Scot and the other hotel staff was impeccable and I felt like VIP. I am not used to that level of service. The hotel feels like a stately home. The food was delicious and in keeping with a fine dining experience.... More

Stayed here for two nights. Service very friendly and helpful. Nice location a bit out of town, but close to everything. Room was fairly basic, but comfortable and quiet, with a good view of the water. Lots of old things to look at in the house!
