The Ardgowan B&B is an adorable and unique place. It is close to the city centre and the bus station. The owner is very friendly and helps you whenever you need something. The breakfast is good and varying which makes it more interesting.

Margaret welcomed us and helped with the parking. The Victorian House and furnishings are beautiful. Our room was spacious and comfortable with shower ensuite. Breakfast was served on good china in the nicely appointed dining room. The porridge and hot Scottish breakfast was quite good. Margaret was charming to talk to, she even helped us find our next nights lodging... More

My son just back from 10 days here. Not the most pleasant b +b. Room very old fashioned, no enSuite. Breakfast only passable. Host was very nosy constantly asking questions whilst trying to eat his breakfast. Heating turned down in his room when he was out. However, 4 guests from USA checked in and appeared to get a much better... More

This is a cosy b&b just 5-10 minutes walk from from the city centre. Was a last minute turn-up stay during summer so was quite happy to find a place. The owner was a nice lady who was really helpful. However, bad value for money - £68 for a room with no ensuite bathrooms and a limited breakfast spread was... More

This is a splendid house, but furnishings are outdated. It's expensive for non-en-suite rooms, and the breakfast was poor - little choice. I have stayed in some wonderful places in Inverness, where, for the same price as we were charged at the Ardgowan, standards are much, much higher.

We were told a list of rules in the house when we arrived, which was still not the end of the story. The landlady is quite mean since she would come out from her room and stared and even followed us until we got back EVERY TIME we went out of the room to go out or even toilet, probably... More

A great, substantial house in a quiet area, handy for facilities yet away from the bustle. Good for local knowledge. I will return again.
