We really enjoyed our two night stay at this delightful B & B. Joyce made us feel very welcome and has lots of local knowledge. A short pleasant walk from the B & B beside the River Ness brings you into Inverness city centre. Our double room had stunning views of the river and most attractive front garden and was... More

This is a very nice B&B, located right on the River Ness. Joyce is warm, welcoming, and quick-witted. She knows Inverness so well and is quite the concierge for the Inverness area. The food is very good and the rooms clean/comfy. It is a short walk from here to the city center, including the railway station.

Brilliant B&B on the river front in Inverness. Just a short walk from the centre of the city. Comfortable rooms (we had a double with lovely view of the river), great breakfasts and friendly owner (with lots of great tips). Parking also available if you have a car. If ever in Inverness again, will come back as we enjoyed it... More

We had the pleasure to stay at Macrae Guest House for a couple of nights; it is really nice! Our host is a very lovely and welcoming woman. The house is beautiful and the room was extremely spatious and well furnished with everything is needed. The location is wonderful; it is situated in the centre of the city but in... More

Nicely situated on the river bank, beautiful house & garden. Parking space available. Room was comfortable but was quite small, bathroom was very small and there is no wifi which is an issue nowadays. Breakfast was nice. Overall, good value for money.

On our whirl wind tour of Scotland we stayed here and enjoyed it tremendously. Joyce was a great host and was very accommodating. We had a front room overlooking the river Ness. We walked to everything it was so close, food & entertainment all right there.

My husband and I recently stayed here during our brilliant stay in Inverness. It's right on the banks of the River Ness and only a short walk into the city - so very convenient. This was our third stay at the Macrae Guest House, the place we were lucky enough to find in 2012 and re-book in 2013 when we were running the Loch Ness Marathon. We booked again for this year but despite being injured and not being able to run we kept our booking as we didn't want to miss visiting Inverness... More

This B & B is located right across from the Ness River on a quaint little street. The Ness River Park is just down the road and the restuarants and shops are in close proximity as well. We loved walking along the river each evening and there were plenty of jogging and biking trails as well. You can walk on... More
