The Clachan is a very well run and friendly B&B. The only issue is that Wick seems to have no decent restaurants but you can pop across the road to Aldi and have a picinic with wine in your room :) If you do want to drive into Wick then the Balti near the oldest pub in Wick was ok... More

This is a truly fine B & B - our room was large and clean the food was good and the host was pleasant and helpful. It is easy to find on the Main Street as you come into two but quiet. Five stars means nothing to complain about and something more and this earned each star.

Well what can I say? This was faultless from the moment we were welcomed at the door until we left the next morning. Our stay was fantastic. Such an immaculate and spotlessly clean bed and breakfast. There was absolutely nothing to fault. Elspeth was the warmest, loveliest most helpful host you could wish for. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful hospitality from the moment we arrived. The accommodation is superb and our stay was very comfortable indeed. Breakfast the following day was lovely and set us up for the rest of the day. Our host, Elspeth, was able to recommend places to eat in the evening and offered to make reservations for us.

Well located near the centre of town, The Clachan has moden rooms with great bathrooms and showers. Our only reservation was that the bed was rather small. Elsbeth, the hostess, was very friendly and is a mine of information about the area and has excellent suggestions of where to eat. She also makes a delicious breakfast.

We had a huge and absolutely immaculate room and large ensuite bathroom. Rhoda was one of the nicest and friendliest hosts you could meet and she was extremely helpful in finding and booking an evening meal. Breakfast was a delight in a light and airy dining room. My family regard me as fussy but I would highly recommend The Clachan... More

Daughter and I stayed whilst doing the NC500. A twin wasn't available so we bunked up in a double, the room was well appointed with a huge shower room. Elspeth was incredibly helpful and friendly. Delicious full Scottish breakfast the following morning. We were very amused when Elspeth informed us that we had featured on McKays Faceook the previous evening... More

This B&B rates a 10 out of 5! Elspeth is a wonderful hostess. In addition to all the previous positive comments, Elspeth's suggestions resulted in us having one of our favourite days touring the area-beautiful scenery and interesting history related to the clearances. We hope that she will still be there when we return next spring.

Elspeth was VERY helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room was spacious and bathroom more than adequate. The breakfast was good with a good variety. It was within walking distance of downtown and had a soccer pitch behind if you were interested in watching a game.

Decided at the last minute that we didn't want to camp in driving rain and wind. We got very lucky as The Clachan had a no-show. The welcome we received could not have been warmer. Great facilities and lots of lovely touches of local produce. Very friendly host and willing to recommend local eateries. Selection at breakfast was good and... More
