I stayed here on business in December, and found the whole place to be warm and homely. The bedroom was well equipped and warm with a superb bathroom with bath, shower, etc a big TV, and a very useful desk area to do my work. Bed was really comfy. Hotel is OK. A bit down at heel in the stairs and room. The window fittings and fixtures wouldn't pass a cursory cleanliness inspection. 217. Bed had mattress destroyed by fat people. (You know the dip) Breakfast very good with really great morning staff in the dining room. Bar is OK and cheap compared to big cities. Public rooms are...

Gathered for a large Birthday party for my mother. Sadly the boiler was broken and no heating or hot water in rooms. Although this wasn't the welcome we were after, the staff (Andrew) were faultless in the efforts to amend things. Was given discount and put up in pricer hotel 2 mins walk away. We returned the following day for...

What an improvement since my last visit. The staff are always welcoming and friendly but last time the salad was wilting and the quiche was dry. We ordered tomato and mozzarella salad. Absolutely perfect. Freshly prepared and as good as we had on the Amalfi coast! Highly recommended.
